ASSEMBLY

  1. Locate a flat, dry area with access to electrical outlet or extension cord. The best setup position will also make launching easy, so ideally the product tube should be carefully carried into position at the water’s edge.
NOTE: Dragging or sliding the product over ground either before or after inflation can cause damage.

  2. Once in the setup/ launch position, unfold the product completely and locate the Main Valve. Remove the Main Valve cover and push valve plunger in. Twist the valve stem 90 degrees to open or close the 1-Way valve feature.

  3. Using a high output pump, place the inflation hose with proper adaptor into the Main Valve to inflate product. Inflate to (see inflation psi, bar requirements in Pictogram).
Check for proper air pressure using a manometer. After inflation, replace Main valve cover. Inflation times can vary by inflator, but the product should be firm and tight when completely inflated.
DO NOT OVERFILL. Excessively high pressure can cause damage to the product and may void the warranty. Carefully monitor air pressure in the product especially during hot weather. Repeat this step for the secondary valve (if applicapble) on the product. Inflate to (see inflation psi, bar requirements in Pictogram). Check for proper air pressure using a manometer. After inflation replace the main valve cover.
WARNING: Do not use an air compressor to inflate tube. Air compressors are designed for high pressure inflation and can cause tube to burst if over- inflated.
WARNING: Do not use product without adequate air pressure – (see inflation psi, bar requirements in Pictogram).

  4. If you are connecting another Aquaglide product, now is the time to attach them. Please follow the Vario-Lock instructions in order to properly connect Aquaglide items together.
NOTE: It is best to attach such items in shallow water prior to anchoring.

  5. To launch the product, make sure to have at least 4 people evenly spaced around the product to help carry it. NEVER DRAG THE PRODUCT! YOU MUST LIFT AND SET THE PRODUCT ON THE WATER TO AVOID ANY ACCIDENTAL TEARING AND/OR ABRASION.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

CARE & MAINTENANCE
Proper cleaning, maintenance, and storing is essential to help prolong the life, quality, and appearance of your product. Proper inflation is critical to the safe operation of your product and will prolong damage from wear. Long- term exposure to sunlight and certain products, especially petroleum-based solvents, cleaners, and protectants can damage the product. Use of these petroleum-based products and/or cleaning with a high pressure washer will void the warranty. To clean, use a soft bristle brush with mild soap and fresh water. While your product has been initially treated with UV protectant, long- term exposure to sunlight will damage the product.
Regularly apply a UV protectant to the exposed surface of the tube to ensure the life of your product.

Storage

Before storing, place the product on a clean, level area. Clean with mild soap and water and allow to dry completely. Apply non-petroleum based PVC protectant to all surfaces of the product before deflating. Remove all attachments and store them in a sealed container that protects them from the elements. Remove all of the air from the tube using the deflation end of the high output inflator/deflator. If some air is left in the tube, it may freeze causing cracking.
Fold the deflated tube in half (width), then roll loosely toward the valve. Store the product out of direct sunlight and protect from the environment in a clean, dry location. It is best to store inside a container to prevent damage from rodents. Never store uncovered, in a damp location, on a concrete surface, or at temperatures below 40 degrees F.

Sand the area that you are going to glue and the patch. Do not sand the tear aid.

Prepare the patch with MEK. Do not apply MEK on the tear aid. Let it dry

Apply the glue evenly on the patch, and the patching area. Use a heat gun on the patch or let it dry for 2 minutes.

Apply the patch and add continuous pressure to avoid bubbles. Let it cure for 24 hours.
