Charging

How to charge Rockerz 255 Pro?

1. Use the Micro USB cable to connect headphones to your computer or adaptor device made for USB charging.
2. A Red LED indicator will turn ON when the headphones are charging.
3. The Red LED will turn OFF when the headphones are fully charged.

What to do if the earphones are not charging or if the battery life is low?

1. Check to see if the charging wire is working – check to use another charging wire or try using the wire on another device.
2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A chargers.
3. Check if the charging is done till the red light turns completely blue.
4. Check if the battery was not tampered with or exposed to any electrical damage.
5. Check if the charging port is not clogged with dirt. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab.
   Please check if the adapter and charging cable supports fast charging.

Poor Sound Quality

What to do if the sound is distorted/low volume/low bass/low quality?

1. Check if the connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied.
2. Check if the device has issues even after moving it closer to the connected device and removing any obstructions.
3. Check if the distortion or quality lowers at all volumes or only at high volumes.
4. Check using different media players and different devices and if the distortion happens on all devices or only on specific ones.
5. Check to see if the earbuds have ear wax accumulated. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab and alcohol, after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance

What to do if the volume of the earphone automatically changes?

1. Check if the connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied.
2. Check using different media players and different devices and if the volume change happens on all devices or only on specific ones.

Bluetooth Connectivity

How to pair Rockerz 255 Pro with other media devices?

1. Press & hold the Power button to switch the speakers ON.
2. There will be a prompt as well as the rapid blinking of the mentioned LED indicator light.
3. Turn ON the Bluetooth function of your device and search for “Rockerz 255 Pro” in the list of available devices.
4. Choose “Rockerz 255 Pro” from the list and if asked then enter the pairing password ‘0000’ to establish Bluetooth connectivity.
5. After successful pairing, the speaker is now ready to play music from your device.
6. The speaker will automatically get connected to this device when switched ON if it is in range and the Bluetooth mode is ON.

What to do if the headphone is not connecting via Bluetooth?

1. Check to see if the device is in pairing mode – Hold the Multifunction button for 5 seconds until the red and blue LED light ON the device starts flashing alternately.
2. Check if the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.
3. Check if it works after clearing the pairing list on the device, press and hold the volume “+” button and the volume “-” button for about 5 seconds in standby mode to clear paired list of devices.
4. Check if the connected device supports Bluetooth connections.
5. Check if it is a passcode issue and if so enter ‘0000’ or ‘1234’.
6. Check to see if the connected device does not have any software issues – Check to forget the device on Bluetooth, and update the mobile software.

What to do if the headphone is not able to dual pair?

1. Try to pair the boAt Rockerz 255 Pro to the first phone as per the usual pairing procedure, then switch it off.
2. Then switch on the earphone again and enter pairing mode, enable Bluetooth function in the second phone, find earphone’s Pairing Name “boAt Rockerz 255 Pro” and pair to second phone per the usual procedure. Switch off the earphones one more time. Then simply switch ON the earphones, without entering pairing mode (a short press until the white light comes on). The earphone should automatically re-connect to the last connected phone (which is the second phone). Then find headset “boAt Rockerz 255 Pro” in the first phone’s Bluetooth setting, and select this to pair to the first phone. Both phones should now be paired to the earphone.
3. Check to try dual pairing with other devices to see if it works with them.

​Dysfunctional Voice Assistant

What to do if the voice assistant does not wake up?

1. Check if the pairing device has the feature enabled. Google Assistant or Siri should be enabled to use this feature from your device.
2. Please follow the steps carefully, long press for 2 seconds and release, this should allow Google Assistant or Siri to pop up on the media screen of the device. Though under some circumstances, this feature may or may not work on some devices which may be restricted by default.

1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first, till the red light turns blue.
2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A Chargers.

What to do if the in-built controls of the device are not working?

1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device
2. Check to forget the device and re-pair it.

What to do if the microphone of the earphone is not working?

1. Check to see if the microphone is not blocked by any particles.
2. Check to see if the microphone is held at an adequate distance for it to be able to pick up the voice.
3. Check if the microphone was not exposed to any hazards like direct sunlight or fire.
4. Check if the microphone was not exposed to water above the resistance or dipped in any liquid.

What is ASAP charge technology?
ASAP Charge is boAt’s very own patented technology. It lets your device charge at an incredible charging speed (which may vary under some circumstances) where 10 mins of charging can give up to 10 hours of playback time.

Does Rockerz 255 Pro support aptX?
Yes, it does. But for this codec to work, the media device must have this feature supported too.

Does Rockerz 255 Pro support low latency?
Rockerz 255 Pro does feature low latency for all entertainment needs. While gaming is still subjective though because it all depends on the media device too. It is okay for casual gaming, but not professional gaming.

Does the device have cVc?
Yes, it does. The Clear Voice Capture (cVc) technology is used for noise cancelling and enhancing selective listening. ​

How to Power ON/OFF Rockerz 255 Pro?
Power ON: Press & hold the Multifunction button for 3 seconds.
Power OFF: Press & hold the Multifunction button for 3 seconds.

How to adjust the volume in Rockerz 255 Pro?
Short press the (+) button to increase volume.
Short press the (-) button to increase volume.

How to play/pause in Rockerz 255 Pro?
Press the multifunction button to play/pause music.

How to answer/end calls with Rockerz 255 Pro?
To answer an incoming call short press the center multifunction button.
To end the call, press the center multifunction button for about 1 second.

How to change tracks in Rockerz 255 Pro?
Long press the (Volume +) button to skip forward to the next track.
Long press the (Volume -) button to go back to the previous track.

How to activate Voice Assistant in Rockerz 255 Pro?
Long press the multifunction button for 1.5-2 seconds to activate Voice Assistant. (Make sure your phone’s Voice Assistant is enabled before use).

How long does it take to charge? Does it support fast charging?
Rockerz 255 Pro takes 1.5H to fully charge. It does not support fast charging.

Does the device have wireless charging?
No. Rockerz 255 Pro does not support wireless charging.

Can the headphone be charged with a Micro USB cable?
No, it cannot be charged via micro-USB. You need a Type-C cable to charge the Rockerz 255 Pro. It is recommended to use the one provided with the product.

Can I charge my headphones with a mobile charger?
Yes, Rockerz 255 Pro wireless headphones can be charged with a mobile charger.

Is it good for running and sports in general?
