Charging

How can I charge the speakers?

  1. Fully charge the speakers internal battery before first use. Insert the USB cables provided and only connect to a suitable 5V USB power supply.
  2. During charging, the LED indicator will glow red and go out when the unit is fully charged.

Note: If the speaker is used while connected to a USB power source, the indicator will always glow, even when the unit is fully charged.

Poor Sound Quality

What to do if the sound is distorted/low volume/low bass/low quality?

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied.
  2. Check if the problem still occurs if the device is moved closer and all obstacles in the middle are removed.
  3. Check if the distortion or quality lowers at all volumes or only at high volumes.
  4. Check the sound on different media players and different devices and if the distortion happens on all devices or only on specific ones.
  5. Check if the problem occurs at all levels of charging or only at low charging levels.
  6. Check if the speaker does not have water droplets, in case they do, use the blow dryer to dry out any water from a distance.

What to do if the speaker is occasionally keeps disconnecting the Speaker?

  1. Check if restarting the speaker resolves the issue.
  2. Check if the same problem happens for different devices and media players.
  3. Check if there are any obstructions between the speaker and the device, move the device at a closer range to the speaker and see if it still affects it.
  4. Try factory-resetting the device.

What to do if there is no sound from the speaker?
Check that the volume level isn’t turned down or off or alternatively try turning to another FM station. If you are connected to another device, ensure the volume level of the device is audible and that the device has been connected correctly.

​Connectivity

How to pair the speaker via Bluetooth mode?

  1. Select Bluetooth mode by short pressing the Power/mode button until you hear the relevant Bluetooth voice prompt.
  2. The Speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode and become discoverable on your smart device.
  3. Enter the Bluetooth device list on your smart phone and search for “boat PartyPal 20” and select to pair.
  4. Your device may ask for a pairing confirmation code, enter “0000” if prompted. When successful, a pairing tone will be heard.
  5. Once paired, the Speaker will automatically reconnect to your device when both are in Bluetooth mode and within 10m’s of each other.
  6. You can now also use the unit’s play/pause, previous track/station or Next track/station buttons to control the music on your connected smart device.

How to connect via Aux Mode?

  1. The Speaker can be connected to any device with either a single headphone 3.5 mm jack or twin RCA stereo output using the appropriate connection lead.
  2. Simply connect the device correctly to the AUX in port on the back of the unit and enter the AUX mode by short pressing the Power/mode button until you hear the relevant voice prompt.
  3. Music from the connected device cannot be played through the speakers control board. It must be controlled from the connected device.

How to connect via USB Mode?

  1. The Speaker is fitted with a media player which can play compatible music files from the USB port on the back of the unit.
  2. Simply insert your USB media and the unit will automatically enter USB mode and a voice prompt can be heard.
  3. Alternatively, you can select the USB mode by short pressing the Power/mode button repeatedly until you hear the relevant voice prompt.
  4. You can control and scroll through the tracks using the play/pause button, previous track/station or Next track/station buttons on the front of the unit.
  5. The speaker also has a memory function which means it will continue from the last played track, on the last occasion it was inserted.

What to do if device not connecting via Bluetooth?

  1. Check to see if the device is in pairing mode, after powering it on the LED indicator will blink white.
  2. Check if the speaker is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.
  3. Check if the device being connected to supports Bluetooth connections or not
  4. Check if it is a passcode issue and if so enter 0000 / 1234
  5. Check if the speaker being connected to does have any software issues or not – Check to forget the device on Bluetooth, update the mobile software, if it still does not work try factory resetting the device.

What to do if the Aux mode is not working?

  1. Check if restarting the device resolves the issue and if the speaker is in Aux mode by short pressing the ‘Mode’ button.
  2. Check if you have connected the aux cable properly and in the correct orientation on both ends.
  3. Check if the problem persists even after using a different cable or different device to connect to the speaker.
Microphone Functionality

How can I use the Microphone of Party Pal 20?

  1. Connect the microphone supplied to the back of the unit as described above and switch it on.
  2. You can now sing along to your favourite music tracks whilst playing them through Bluetooth, USB, AUX in and FM modes.
  3. To adjust the microphones echo/reverb, long press the previous track/station or Next track/station buttons accordingly.

Note: The microphones volume can only be controlled by the unit’s master volume and has no independent volume control.

How to record voice in Party Pal 20?

  1. With a compatible USB device connected to the unit, short press the Power/mode button until you hear the relevant voice prompt.
  2. Connect the microphone jack on the back of the unit. Next, short press the Next track/station button to begin recording through the connected microphone.
  3. Short press the previous track/station button to end the current recording session.
  4. Short press the Play/Pause button to listen to the last recorded session.
  5. To listen to all your recording sessions in order, press the power/mode button and enter normal USB playback mode. You can then scroll through the session using the play/pause, previous track/station or Next track/station buttons on the front of the unit the same as you would a normal MP3 album.

What to do if microphone of the device is not working?

  1. Check to see the microphone is not being blocked by any dust or obstruction.
  2. Check to see if the microphone is being held at the adequate distance for it to be able to pick up the voice.
  3. Check if the microphone was not exposed to any hazards like direct sunlight or fire.
  4. Check if the microphone was not exposed to water above the resistance or dipped in any other liquid or not.
  5. The microphone is not functional using the aux mode, check if the device is not in aux mode.
  6. Try factory-resetting the device

Why can’t I hear my microphone response?
Ensure the microphone is connected correctly and switched on. Also check that the unit is not in USB voice record mode.

FM Functionality

How to select FM Mode?

  1. Select FM mode by short pressing the power/mode button until you hear the relevant voice prompt.
  2. To perform a channel scan, short press the play/pause button. The Speaker will now scan through the FM frequency, automatically saving any stations with a trong enough signals.
  3. Once the scan has finished, you can stroll back and forward through the saved channels using the previous track/station buttons accordingly.

Note: If you are experiencing interference or poor signal quality on certain stations, it may be necessary to move the unit nearer to a window or doorway.

What to do if the FM sounds distorted/ not able to catch FM signals/ FM channels not appearing?

  1. Please make sure the attached FM signal wire is in a suitable position to catch FM signals, i.e., nearby balconies or open areas where the signal is clear. If the signal is still distorted try adjusting the wire position or speaker position and see if it improves.
  2. Use the play/pause button on the speaker or remote to auto-search the channels again and see if they pop up.
    The tune button on the remote or the next button on the speaker can be used to surf through the available channels.
Other Functional Issues

What to do if device does not turn ON / not working?

  1. Ensure your device has Bluetooth mode switched on and is discoverable. Also ensure your device is within 10m range of the unit.
  2. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first or not.
  3. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the speaker or not.
  4. Check by switching the speaker on manually, press and hold the power on button for at least 3 seconds.
  5. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire.

What to do if the in-built controls of the speaker is not working?

  1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device
  2. Check if the device is in aux mode because the buttons will not work in aux mode
  3. Check if the media player being used supports such controls and if the controls do not function on call or other media players
  4. Check if the controls have been physically damaged or exposed to any hazards

What to do if there are any other functional issues with Stone speaker?

  1. Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.
  2. Fully let the speaker discharge and then charge it fully again before use.
  3. Try connecting through a different connection mode or media device.

General FAQs

Technology

What is LED light Show?

  • The speaker has an in-built LED light show housed within its front grilled design. This will automatically be enabled when the unit is switched ON.
  • To disable th elight show at any time, long press play/pause button.

Can the speaker be used for gaming?
Yes, it can be. However, it is advised to only do so using an aux connection as Bluetooth mode might have latency issues.​

How to Power ON/OFF?
​Power ON: Long press the power button.
Power OFF: Long press the power button.

How to change music tracks or FM stations?

Previous Track: Short press to move to the previous track in BT/USB mode or previous station in FM mode. Long press with the microphone inserted to decrease the echo/reverb the speaker. Short press in record mode to end th recording session.

Next Track: Short press to move to the next track in BT/USB mode or next station in FM mode. Long press with the microphone inserted to decrease the echo/reverb the speaker. Short press in record mode to end th recording session.

How to play and pause the music?
Tap the button once to play/pause music. Long press the button to turn the LED lights ON/OFF. Press in FM mode to channel surf and short press when in record mode to begin playing the saved recordings.

How to switch the modes?
Short press the MFB to change the mode.

How to reset?
Press using a pin or a sharp object to reset he unit when required.​

How to switch calls between speaker and the phone?
Long press the play/pause button for 2 seconds.

​Can we accept calls on it?
​Yes, one can accept calls on the speakers.

Does it have an in-built mic for hands-free calling?
Yes, Party Pal 20 comes with an in-built mic that allows hands-free calling.

Can we connect it via AUX?
Yes, Party Pal 20 Bluetooth Speakers can also be connected via AUX cable if Bluetooth is not available.

Why can’t I play the music from my USB flash drive?
Ensure the flash drive is inserted correctly and that the music is either in MP3 or WAV format. The maximum sizes of storage the speaker can handle are 64GB and also ensure that the media is formatted in FAT32.

Device Charging

Can we use it while putting the speakers on charge?
Yes, Party Pal 20 Portable Speakers can be used simultaneously while charging.​

What is the battery life of the device?
Party Pal 20 offers a battery backup of 4.5 hours on a single charge.

Can I charge my speakers with a mobile charger?
Yes, Party Pal 20 can be charged with a mobile charger.

Water/Dust Protection

Can the speaker be submerged in water or can be used under water?
No. The speaker does not have any water protection certification. So, any contact with water or any kind of liquid will damage the product.
