1. Assemble the lamp
Start by assembling the lamp. Insert one lamp arm on each side of the garden.
NB! The lamp and the lamp arms flt only one way. One lamp arm has a groove in
it. Fit that lamp arm so it aligns with the same side as the groove in the
water tank and in the lamp. You can tuck the power cord into the groove later
on.
The garden should not be used without the lamp arms fitted.
2. Insert the plant pods
Remove the Smart Soil pods from their packages and insert them into the plant
cups as shown above. Click the U-shaped lids in place and add the clear
germination domes.
Germination domes create a greenhouse effect and help your plants grow. Remove
the domes once the sprouts reach them.
3. Name your plants
Keep track of your plants by labeling each plant cup.
The plant cups are reusable so use a washable marker or a sticker to be able
to change plant names on your next growing cycle.
4. Fill the tank
Pour water into the tank until the water level indicator reaches the top of the garden. Don’t overwater. It’s time to refill the tank once the water level indicator reaches the bottom of it.
5. Fit the power cord
Notice that the Smart Garden 9 comes with a narrow groove on the tank, lamp
and extensions. The groove is designed to hide the power cord for a sleeker
and cleaner look. Simply push the wire into it and
lock it from the bottom of the tank.
6. Plug the garden in
Your garden will turn on the minute you plug it in. It has a built in timer
with a day and night cycle of 16h on and 8h off. We recommend pluging it in in
the morning, so the light will not be on late into the night.
The Smart Garden 9 Pro lamp settings can also be customized with the Click and
Grow app.
Touch control
You can turn your lamp on or off temporarily by swiping your hand over the lop
part of the lamp. The lamp will automalicaly turn on/ off again when the next
scheduled day/ night cycle begins.
To use all the features of your Smart Garden 9 Pro, get the Click and Grow app
from App Store, Google Play or scan the QR code:
7. Pairing a device with the Smart Garden 9 Pro
Make sure the lamp is plugged in and your device has bluetooth and location
enabled (we do not collect any data from your location – it is a default
requirement for an app to work for Android users).
To start pairing, place your hand on lop of the middle part of the lamp and
hold for 5 seconds.
When the pairing mode is active, the lights will run back and forth. When a
device has been successfully paired, the lights will blink
15 sec – reset paired devices.
20 sec – factory reset.
Resetting
Place your hand on top of the middle part of the lamp and hold:
15 sec – reset paired devices. This will remove all devices that are paired
with the lamp.
20 sec – factory reset. This will reset all settings of the lamp to its
factory defaults.
Overheat protection
In extreme cases when the lamp gets too hot, it will automatically dim the lights and then brighten them again once it has cooled down enough.

Pro Tips for A Perfect Garden
Salad greens prefer growing at a temperature range of 64 to 72 ° F (18 to 22
°C) for best performance. Higher temperatures will decrease germination.
For best quality it is recommended to harvest greens 30 to 35 days after
planting – all at once. If you prefer harvesting periodically by cutting off
larger outer leaves first – do it within the first 40 days to avoid
decreased plant quality. Tip for preventing food waste! Extend usage by
wrapping harvested greens in a moist kitchen towel and storing in a fridge.
Herbs prefer growing at temperatures from 64 to 79 °F (18 to 26 °C).
Herbs like to be cut! First harvest is usually feasible 3 weeks after planting
the pods. It is a common rule to leave at least two pairs of true leaves to
grow, soon there will be more to harvest. Use sharp scissors for a cut,
don’t tear the plant. Never allow herbs to grow so tall that they will reach
the lamp. They might get burnt. Most herb pods will last at least for 10
weeks. Tip for preventing food waste! Extend usage by drying harvested
herbs on a clean paper towel at room temperature, hidden from direct sunlight.
Stare it in a sealed jar until next cooking.
Fruiting plants prefer warmer temperatures up to 79 °F (26 °C). If multiple
seeds germinate in a single pod, leave just one seedling to grow in that pod.
This ensures there is enough space and nutrients for the plant.
Once your plant is flowering, it needs to be pollinated by hand in order to
produce fruits. Do this by gently shaking your plant or carrying pollen from
one blossom to the next with your finger or a small brush.
Flowers and other decorative plants do not require much care. You only need to
remove some withered leaves or flowers for more beautiful looking plants.
Expect first flowers in about 50 days after planting the
pods. Foliage decorative plants, except trees, can be trimmed in order to keep
them full and low.
You can expect sprouts to appear in 1-3 weeks.
Different plants grow at different paces, so some of them will sprout within a week, while for others it may take up to 3 weeks. Be patient!
Remember to:
Remove the germination domes once the plants have sprouted.
Keep the noat level with the top of the garden by adding water when it reaches
the bottom of it. Make sure not to overfill!
Keep the plastic plant cups and domes. They are reusable for your next growing
experience.
Irrigation.
The sticks under the cups are wicks that deliver water to the plants. Make
sure the tip of the wick sticks out slightly inside lhe cup. This will ensure
there is good contact with the inserted pod. If a pod remains
dry, the wick may be clogged and you should order replacements.
When replacing a wick, insert a new wick from the bottom and push until the tip is inside the cup.
Root proliferation.
Your Smart Garden 9 Pro came with perforated plant cups that promote plant
growth by allowing the roots to grow into the water tank. Keep tracking the
pods’ age (via app) and replace the plant pods in time to
reach maximum yield and avoid excess root mass in the tank.
