Frequently Asked Questions

  • How can I make my HDMI splitter function?
Connect the HDMI splitter to your television’s side or back HDMI port. Then, attach the HDMI devices to the available HDMI splitter ports (source devices). Keep in mind that your HDMI splitter can only accept one or two sources at a time. All sources connected to your HDMI splitter and your TV should be turned on.

  • Is it possible to combine an HDMI switch with an HDMI splitter?
Due to the differences in its technology, an HDMI splitter cannot be used as an HDMI switch. You cannot swap the two devices, despite the fact that both will let you broadcast the source signal to more devices than there are HDMI ports for.

  • Why won’t my TV recognize my HDMI splitter?
Keep your displays and video source powered on, but disconnect the power and HDMI cords from the HDMI splitter.
After a brief delay, re-plug one of the Displays into the splitter. After another brief delay, re-plug the power line into the splitter.

  • How does a splitter for 4K HDMI operate?
HDMI splitters receive a signal from a source device and distribute it to several monitors at the same time. The splitter can read and match the signal that each display device is anticipating because HDMI as a signal protocol supports digital handshaking.

  • Does 4K support all HDMI splitters?
No, you need pay close attention to an HDMI 4K splitter. Although not all of them, today’s splitters and HDMI switches will enable 4K. It’s less likely to support 4K if you have an older splitter. High-speed cables that work with 4K resolutions are also required.

  • Does quality suffer while using an HDMI splitter?
Because HDMI Splitters are replicating a digital signal, quality is not necessarily reduced. However, there is less of a guarantee when utilizing inferior hardware or an unpowered HDMI Splitter. Due to the length of the HDMI connection, splitters used with excessively lengthy HDMI cables may experience signal quality concerns.

  • Do two monitors operate with an HDMI splitter?
A single video stream can be sent simultaneously to two HDMI monitors using HDMI splitters (and graphics cards).
