Welcome to ConnectScale, we are excited that you want to be part of the revolutionary new way to log your catches. Below are the instructions to help you connect!.+%!&5,!?our new ConnectScal,!2! Bluetooth Digital and ConnectScale Mobile App available on Apple iPhone or an Android Mobile devices.
SET UP
- Remove the protective outer casing and battery cover on the underside of the scale and insert the 2 new AAA batteries (Batteries not included). Make sure that the batteries are correctly inserted and replace the cover.
- APP Download – Go to new.connectscale.com for links to the latest version and Android apps.
BLUETOOTH
- To pair the scale to your mobile device you must use the ConnectScale Fishing App and not your mobile phones bluetooth device settings page.
- Sign in or create a new user account if you haven’t already and go to the more/settings page in the app.
- Under the Bluetooth section t ap to select!.+%!(hen scan for your ConnectScale unit.
- Power on the Scale.
- Connect Scale 3 will show on screen tap to pair.
SCALE
ON|OFF Button – Tap this button to turn the ConnectScale 3 power on and off UNIT Button – Tap this button to cycle through the units of measure on the scale TARE Button – Tap this button to tare the weight and zero it out after each weight. Press and hold the Tare button for 5 seconds to turn auto hold function on and off.!!!
Mobile App Bluetooth Set Up and Operation:
- Go to your settings on iPhone or Android Mobile device and scroll down to Bluetooth tab. Make sure you have turned your Bluetooth is turned on, then back out of settings. Go into the
- ConnectScale App, and click on the last tab “setting icon” which looks like a sprocket. Scroll down to the section labeled Bluetooth, and find “My Device.” Click on ConnectScale, and your mobile device will pair with the ConnectScale Bluetooth Digital Fish Scale. Look at the top right corner and you will see the Bluetooth symbol will be highlighted in white and you know you are paired.
- Now you can begin fishing. Once you catch a fish and hook it to the scale keep the fish on the scale until it says, “HOLD” The weight and air temperature will then be sent to your app. Once the data has been loaded to the app you can then add additional details: picture, species, length, bait/lure, fishing technique, waterway, water temp, tournament code, assign to another user, etc..
- If you wish to use a lip gripper, net, or sling you can tare the weight by attaching the tool when empty to the scale until a “HOLD” weight is captured. Then while the tool is on the scale simply hit the “TARE button on the scale to tare out the weight of the tool. Now attach your catch to the tool of your choice and weigh the catch to capture an accurate reading.
SAFETY MEASURES
- Incorrect use of the scale may damage it.
- Use only for its intended purpose. The manufacturer is not responsible for any injury or damage from incorrect use or handling.
- Do not place or store near a powerful heat source or store in a damp environment.
- Do not immerse in water.
- remove the batteries if the scale remains unused for a prolonged period.
- Do not attempt to weigh objects which exceed the Scales maximum capacity of 110 LBS (5OKG).
- Clean the scale by wiping with a clean and damp cloth.
