VELOCITIES MILAN Bicycle Cover
User Manual

WARNING

– Read before use
Congratulations on your new VELOSOCK Bike Cover! We’re sure you’re going to have a great time with it. Please do read this manual before using the Bike Cover to avoid any disappointment when the product is not used with proper care and consideration.
The Bike Cover is made of extra durable, waterproof fabric (5 mm, able to resist light showers), water-repellent zippers, and designed to last with minimal maintenance. However, when using Bike Covers on rear car bike racks, the user must understand the precautions that come with it:

  • Only rear car bike racks where bikes are securely fixed in an upright position (vertically with both wheels perpendicular to the ground).
  • Car bike racks usually come with a maximum speed warning which shouldn’t be exceeded. Aerodynamic drag increases with speed, and exceeding the speed rating could effectively exert too much force onto the bike cover. If possible, use a lower speed limit than is allowed for your bike rack (see your bike rack instructions). The maximum authorized speed limit is 90 kph/56 mph and wind speed does not exceed 15 kph/9 mph. The vehicle’s speed must always be adjusted to the load being carried and the current driving conditions, such as the road type, road quality, wind conditions, and traffic intensity. Applicable speed limits and other traffic regulations must always be observed.
  • Use Bike Covers only on rear car bike rocks to avoid aerodynamic drag.
  • An additional number plate and/or rear lights might be required. This should be attached to the appropriate part of the carrier in accordance with local laws.
  • The zippers of the Bike Cover should not be placed and fixed against the frame of the bike.
  • Use pedal covers (they come with the Bike Cover) at all times when transporting one bike. Keep proper distance between bicycles and consider removing pedals when transporting more than one bike on a rear car bike rack.
  • Inspect your bike before each ride to be sure the cover and your bike are properly assembled.
  • Be aware of the width and height of your bike cover since low clearance branches, bridges, and parking garages can affect the load. All cargo will affect the vehicle’s driving behavior. Never drive with locks, knobs, or racks in an open or unlocked position.
  • Do not use your Bike Cover for purposes other than those for which it was designed. Do not exceed the carrying capacity. Remove the Bike Cover from your bicycle when it is not in use and before entering automatic car washes. Keep the Bike Cover away from hot exhaust.
  • Protect your Bike Cover from mechanical shocks from any other hard or sharp objects.
  • Try to avoid using Bike Covers on groveling roads and off-rood. Larger flying stones can damage not only the cover but also your bicycle.

Failure to follow these guidelines can lead to product tear-ups and disappointment. Consult with us if you have any questions regarding the operations and limits.

EXTRA DURABILITY + WATERPROOF FABRIC
What is a Velosock Bike Cover?
Specially tailored for three main types of bikes – Triathlon, MTB, and Road Bikes – the Bike Covers are made of flexible, waterproof fabric (5 mm, able to resist light showers) with water-repellent zippers and zero air permeability. The extra durable high-quality fabric provides superior abrasion resistance and is designed to last with minimal maintenance (machine-washable).
RECOMMENDED REAR BIKE RACK TYPE 3 POINT FIXATION

The Bike Covers fully protect your bike from dirt, dust, salt, direct sunlight, scratches, etc., and are able to resist light showers during transportation and are just as perfect for long-term indoor storage. Use the cover to securely store your ride in a garage or apartment when it’s not in use, or to protect it during transportation on a rear car bike rack. Strictly forbidden to use with rooftop car bike racks. Speed limits apply and should not exceed 90 kph/56 mph. We strongly advise to consider the relevant weather conditions, especially the wind speed, at the time of traveling, as it is the user’s responsibility to adapt driving speed to environmental conditions. Always use pedal covers when transporting your bike and consider removing pedals when putting more than one bike on a rear car bike rack to ensure the proper distance between bicycles. Velosock Bike Covers are specially designed to completely hide the most precious parts of your bike from prying eyes.
