Not very easy with Android , you need to sync it all the time i returned mine after two,days.
Does it work tracking a walk without been connected to the android?****
Amazon prompted me to answer this question because I reviewed the echo before. I am a runner and use many different gadgets – and was really excited about the Echo when I purchased it. However, it is incredibly non user friendly. There are no instructions with it and, I could never get it to work – so – my answer is No – it doesn’t do much of anything. I promptly sent it back and bought a Garmin.
Does this product have a smart alarm to wake you in light sleep?****
I never used it for alarm, but I would assume so. Mine stopped working a few months after I got it so I can’t really tell you.
Can you answer the phone with this watch? Can you read a text with this phone?****
I know you cannot answer the phone with the watch, but a text reading feature is supposed to be coming out within the next number of months.
Can you change the strap band? I like leather brown.****

I don’t know the difference but with the Echo fit watch you can control your music.
Does it have an alarm?****
Not what I would buy you have to map watch with phone when running 2.
Do I have to use my phone w this watch or can I just set it up initially and go?****
This watch has only a few stand-alone capabilities (i.e., that work without a phone): time, steps, distance, and sleep. Anything else that it can do requires a Bluetooth connected phone and an app that has the ability to connect with the Magellan Echo Fit. This is a key point, the app MUST specifically have the ability to work with the Echo Fit and remain connected at all times. If you use a running app like RunKeeper, you must have the phone with you.
Does this watch get phone notifications on iPhone? I know it was supposed to eventually.****

Yes but it is basic and doesn’t allow splits, only start, stop, reset.
Is this item easy to use?****
It’s not a super seamless setup because it also depends on the app you are using, but after one day, including one run, I realized using the watch is pretty simple. It took me 40 minutes to muddle through the setup because a software update took a long time and I didn’t hit any snags but I was kind of unclear the whole time as to what was happening.
