PLUG AND PLAY
The Ghost is now Plug and Play. It is no longer necessary to install it remotely with the Ingenext team. You can install your module and then program it using the button in the Ingenext web application.
INSTALLATION
STEP 0 Turn off your car
To turn off your car, sit in the passenger seat with the door open. > Turn off your car, select SAFETY & SECURITY from the menu and press POWER OFF.
When you turn off your car, make sure no one is sitting in the driver’s seat and that no more door will be opened so that the car will not start again.
You can start the installation with the steps below.
The Module is installed at the foot of the front passenger seat, under the glove box.
STEP 1 Opening the panel under the glove box
1.1 Completely remove the 4 plugs securing the panel (circled in red in image
1.1). > See next images for details of this operation.
Pull out the centre part of the plug using the two notches around it (1.1a).
Once the centre part is down, grip the 2nd part of the plug (1.1b) and pull it out completely (1.1c).
Put all four plugs aside for later. We recommend using the cup holder in the centre console (1.1d).
Pull the panel down gently using the notches at the bottom (circled in dotted yellow in image 1.1).
1.2 Unplug the light (circled in red here).
See the next images for details of this operation.
Press down on the plug’s safety lever (see 1.2a and 1.2b) to unlock it. While still pressing on the safety lever, pull the plug outward from its casing (1.2c) to unplug it completely (1.2d). The light will turn off.
STEP 2 – Plugging the Module
2.1 – In the upper right corner (towards the outside of the vehicle), locate and unplug the 2nd connector from the MCU, starting from the bottom (circled in red in the image) to free the slot for the installation of the Module.
See the next images for details of this operation.
SAFETY LEVER : To release the connector, press down on the safety lever located in the hollow “u” shape at the edge of the connector (2.1a). Hold the safety lever down while pulling out the connector.
ACCESS POSITION : In order to reach and grip the connector to unplug it, it may be necessary to try different positions (2.1b), depending on your stature and flexibility.
This step may take a few tries as this space is rather confined. Don’t be discouraged, any difficulty will be instantly forgotten on your first road test after installation!
NOTE: The centre screen will turn off upon disconnection. This is normal.
2.2 Plug the connector you just released (2.2a) into the Module’s socket (2.2b). You will hear a “click” sound when the connector is properly plugged in (2.2c).
RESULT (2.2c): 2.3 Plug the Module connector (2.3a) into the MCU (in the slot for the connector you previously unplugged (2.3b).
You will hear a “click” sound when the connector is properly plugged in. The centre screen will turn back on about one minute after plugging the Module into the MCU.
STEP 3 – Storage
3.1 Store the Module in the available space around the MCU. You can place it on the plastic edge as shown here (3.1).
3.2 Reconnect the light wire to the panel. You will hear a “click” sound and the light will come back on once properly plugged in.
3.3 Put the panel back in place: First align the notch of the panel with the anchor (3.3), then press the edges of the panel to secure it (you will hear several “click” sounds).
Put back the four plugs you removed at the beginning. Start by pressing the base of the plug completely down into its hollow, then push the central part in.
Once the module is installed, proceed with its programming by connecting to the Ingenext web application. To access the user manual to know how to connect to the application click here
