Important Notice: Charging the Receivers

  • The receivers contain a ‘lithium polymer battery’ meaning it has a large capacity for its physical size but also requires very specific battery management and charging.

  • If the battery is completely discharged (flat), it must first go through an ‘initialize cycle’ before it is ready to accept a charge.

  • This cycle results in the receiver LED flashing RED and also ‘beeping’ for an extended period (very irritating so move it to a quiet part of your house)

  • Once the cycle is complete the beeping will stop, and the LED will remain a constant Green.
This merely indicates the cycle is complete – the battery is NOT FULLY CHARGED

  • Unplug the charging power and reconnect. The LED will now remain a constant Red. The unit is now Charging

  • When the LED now turns a constant Green the unit is charged and ready for use.

  • Regularly charge the receivers to prevent the above occurrence.

WARNING
Please charge the collar receiver before putting it into training! If the collar receiver doesn’t work for a long time, you should charge it fully, charge it every month then keep it idle.

Product Description

This electronic pet fence system EF168 is a reliable, cost-efficient pet containment system. The harmless radio signal was issued by the transmitter and goes through the wire to be the boundary of the “yard” when your dog approaches the boundary beyond setting range, the receiver collar in the dog’s neck will start up with a warning beep at first. If your dog keeps running to the boundary, the receiver will issue static shock with gradually stronger intensity until your dog returns back to the “safe area”- within the boundary you set up.DOG COLLAR EF168 Pet Wireless Fence System - figure

Main feature

This product has three levels of function adjustable: the first level is only the vibration function, the second level is weak static shock function, and the third level is strong static shock function.
There is a warning beeper prompt for each level.

  1. The function vibration or shock
When the dog is closer to the boundary the vibration or shock will be stronger.

  2. Beeper
    A warning tone will be issued twice and then shock or vibration if your dog continues to move closer to the boundary;

  3. Variable Field Width Control:
Allows you to precisely control the width of the signal field; (the cable is about 200M)

  4. Audible and Visual Wire Break Indicators:
    Once the boundary wire was broken, the transmitter loud sonic alarm will issue with a flashing light;

  5. Speed Detect Anti-Run through:
The faster your dog is moving and the higher level of shock or vibration intensity is issued.

  6. Multiple Collar Operation:
Add as many collars as you like to contain as many animals as you have. There is no limit to the number of collars it can control.

  7. Up to 5000 square meters range (over 1.24 acre).

Installation of fence system

To make sure the normal operation of the fence system, you should design a diagram of the fence system at the first. Then mount the transmitter nearby the AV outlet, set the boundary with wire and flags, and place the receiver collar into the neck of your dog.
Please install the system as below steps:
Step 1: Mount the transmitter
To make the transmitter work properly, you should ensure, there is a 110/220VAC outlet nearby before mounting it. Place the transmitter at a wall or tree and fixed it with screws.

Step 2: Install the boundary flags and Connect the wire Connect one terminal of the wire to the transmitter firstly, mount the boundary flags one by one according to the boundary layout,  and make sure the wire goes through the hole of flags meanwhile.
Until all the flags have been mounted properly along the boundary and come back to the transmitter. Please keep the excess wire around the bobbin and connect the terminal of wire to the transmitter. DOG COLLAR EF168 Pet Wireless Fence

Notice:
the packed. wire length of is 200 meters. you can add more. (must use the wire that we provide)
Step 3: Set parameters for the transmitter
Pushing the ON/OFF button to turn on/off the transmitter. The signal field is the distance from the wire to the place where the collar receiver first activates. the value of the power level is bigger and the control range is bigger. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the transmitter, press , it and can adjust the control range.
Press can decrease the control range, press can increase the control range.

Verify the function of the fence system

This product has three levels of function adjustable: the first level is only the vibration function, the second level is weak static shock function, and the third level is strong static shock function. (There is a warning beeper prompt for each level.)
Press the button on the transmitter to change the control range. According to the comparison table above, such as level 10. and then take the collar receiver to the right location as the right control range. Press the ON/OFF button of the collar receiver to power it on and move the collar to the boundary wire. If the warning tone of “bi-bi” and  vibration are issued or bi- bi” and shock are issued, and then place the LED test light on the collar contact probes, the LED should light on in a few seconds (It’s means the shock function is good). If you move the receiver collar away from the boundary, the receiver will stop “bi-bi” and vibration or shock.

Notice: Don’t place the receiver collar on your dog until the fencing system has been tested and the signal field adjusted. You must manually test the containment system to verify that the signal is properly transmitted through the wire. Use the supplied test light.

Put the receiver collar on your dog

Place the collar around the dog’s neck with the receiver box under the chin. The collar must be on relatively tight to keep the probes making shin contact without restricting  breathing. You should be able to slide only one finger under the strap at the back of the dog’s neck. Please check the skin of the dog’s neck every day, if the dog’s neck has any adverse reactions, you must stop using this collar on the dog’s neck.
If the erythema is caused by too long wearing time or too tight a collar, it needs to use it after recovery.
Notice: always make sure the collar is functioning properly before putting it on the dog. Receiver button and function:

  1. Long press for ON/OFF
  2. Setting function of receiver collar: the first level is only vibration function, the second level is weak static shock function, the third level is strong static shock function.  (There is a warning beeper prompt for each level.) 1). It’s with function vibration + beeper when the collar ON and the light on receiver collar flashing continuously one time; 2). It’s with function weak shock and beeper when pressing twice ON button and the light on the receiver collar flashing continuously two times; 3). It’s with function strong shock and beeper when pressed three times ON button and the light on receiver collar flashing continuously three times; 4). if you continue to press the ON button, the collar will cycle function.
  3. If receiver collar is flashing light red(.0.5S flashing one time), it’s with a low battery, and now you need to charge for it.
  4. It flashing light double red when charging, it light on green when full charge, turn off the charge it return to shutdown status.
  5. The receiver collar will automatically go to standby when the collar is stationary at the 60S (power save function), and then shaking the collar will be going to work.
  6. The receiver collar works 20S continuous electric shock + 5S stop work, and then stop shock after 5 cycles, flashing red light until dogs return to a safe area.

How the correction works

  1. Pre-correction Warning Tone:
When the dog reaches the edge of the signal field in the yard, it will hear a warning tone, if the dog doesn’t return to a safe area, the receiver collar will shock or vibration continuously until the dogs returns to a safe area. If dogs return to the boundary again, the receiver collar will work shock or vibration again.

  2. Run-Through Prevention:
The receiver collar automatically increases the correction as the dog enters the signal field, tone beeper, vibration, and shock will be stronger when dogs closer boundary.  Strong shock or vibration will not allow dogs to go beyond the setting range.

System maintenance tips

In fact, very little maintenance is required for this receiver collar, since the receiver collar is rechargeable and waterproof, but the transmitter is not waterproof and must be protected from the weather. A close lightning strike may damage the unit. Unplug the transmitter and disconnect the wires during storms.
Test the system once a week to make sure the receiver collar is working properly. Also testing the system will verify the field width setting is correct. To test, attach the LED  test light to the receiver collar probes. Holding the receiver by the case( NOT by the probes), walk into the signal field and pay attention to the warning tone and LED light.  The dogs closer boundary and shock or vibration will be stronger.

Troubleshooting Guidelines

A. Dog is not responding to correction, pay attention below .points:

  1. Check the collar strap and make sure it’s proper tightness.
  2. Trim the dog’s hair or use rubber probes to make better skin contact.
  3. If receiver collar is low battery, charge it.

B. System Test Procedure:
Whenever you experience a malfunction, you will need to do a Test Loop to determine which component collar, wall transmitter, or yard wire is not working. To perform  the Test Loop procedure:

  1. Make a test loop using a piece of wire at least 4 meters in length.
  2. Remove the existing wire from your wall transmitter.
  3. Insert the two ends of the test loop wire into the wall transmitter.
  4. Set the field width level to a low setting.
  5. Place the test light on the receiver collar, with the collar in hand, move outside the field and approach the test loop. Make a mental note of the distance between the collar  and the wire when the collar activates,
  6. Set the transmitter signal level to a medium value, such as level 4, back away from the wire and approach it again, determining the distance should be greater on the medium range setting.
  7. If more than one collar receiver is used with the system, repeat the above test on each collar.

Important Tips

  1. This model wire fence electronic is only for pet dogs;
  2. When the receiver collar is with a low battery, it will intermittently work and you need to stop work, ing, please.
  3. Don’t wear the receiver collar on the dog’s neck for more than 10 hours each time.
  4. Keep the receiver collar away from your child to avoid accidental injury.
  5. Please read the manual carefully before using it.
