ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

WARNING! Read these electrical safety instructions thoroughly before connecting the product to the mains supply.

Before switching the product on, make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the same as that indicated on the rating plate. This product is designed to operate on 230VAC 50Hz. Connecting it to any other power source may cause damage.
This product may be fitted with a non-rewireable plug. If it is necessary to change the fuse in the plug, the fuse cover must be refitted. If the fuse cover becomes lost or damaged, the plug must not be used until a suitable replacement is obtained.
If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or due to damage, it should be cut off and a replacement fitted, following the wiring instructions shown below. The old plug must be disposed of safely, as insertion into a mains socket could cause an electrical hazard.

WARNING! The wires in the power cable of this product are colored in accordance with the following code:
Blue = Neutral Brown = Live Yellow and Green = Earth

If the colours of the wires in the power cable of this product do not correspond with the markings on the terminals of your plug, proceed as follows.

  • The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked N or coloured Black.
  • The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked L or coloured Red.
  • The wire which is coloured Yellow and Green must be connected to the terminal which is marked E or coloured Green.

We strongly recommend that this machine is connected to the mains supply via a Residual Current Device (RCD)
If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt any repairs yourself.

BEFORE USE

CONNECTING THE FEET

  1. Turn the oil filled radiator upside down and insert the securing loop as shown.
  2. Hook the securing loop to the wheel plate and feed the threaded end of the securing loop through the second hole as shown.
  3. Fix the wheel plate in position using the wing nut supplied.
  4. Turn the oil filled radiator the right way up and fit the wheels as shown securing them using the nuts supplied.

OPERATION

CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE RADIATOR UNLESS IT IS PLACED IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION.

  • Select an indoor location for the radiator away from electrical cables, drapes and other furnishings.
  • DO NOT place radiator directly beneath an electrical outlet or against paper board or low-density fibreboard.
    1. Turn the thermostat to “0” before plugging in the radiator.
    2. Plug the radiator into the mains supply.
    3. Slide the switch on the timer to “I”.
    • if you are going to use the timer to control the radiator skip this step.
    1. Use the power switches to turn the radiator on.
      SWITCH| SETTING
      ---|---
      Left| Minimum
      Right| Medium
      Both| Maximum

NOTE: The first time the radiator is used there may be an odor that will disappear after approximately 30 minutes of operation. The odour is due to a lubricant used during the manufacture of the radiator.

SETTING THE TEMPERATURE

The operating temperature is selected by adjustment of the thermostat.

  • The hottest setting will be when the thermostat is set to “6” and the power switches are set to maximum, the coolest when it is set to “0”.
TIMER FUNCTION
  1. Turn the dial clockwise to align your current time to the triangular pointer.

SETTING THE TIMER

  1. The circumference of the dial is composed of 96 segments. Each segment represents 15 minutes.
  2. The timer is turned ON for 15 minutes by each activated segment
    • Activated segment (pulled outwards).
    • Non-activated segment (pushed inwards).

Example: To use the timer to turn the radiator on between 04:00 and 05:00.

  1. Set current time.
  2. Turn the slide switch to timer symbol
  3. Pull the 4 segments between 4 and 5 outwards.

SAFETY OVERHEAT SHUT OFF

Your oil filled radiator is fitted with two safety devices.
The first is an anti-tilt switch that turns off the oil filled radiator if it falls over; simply stand the radiator up again to reset this switch.
The second is a safety overheat device which switches off the oil filled radiator in the event of overheating caused by any fault condition which induces a rapid temperature rise.
In the event of the safety overheating device operating, the oil filled radiator will cease to function until the temperature falls below the cut-off point. If this happen again have your oil filled radiator serviced by an approved service agent.
The safety device supplied must never be replaced by anyone other than an approved service agent.
