• Will this system work with Sonos?
  The Marantz SR6015 has no Sonos connectivity. However, the 6015 has HEOS built-in. HEOS was developed by Denon and Marantz to offer the same network connectivity with HEOS-enabled speakers throughout your home on your home wifi network, controllable with the free HEOS app on your smart device. World Wide Stereo is 42 years old and a proud authorized Marantz and HEOS dealer.

• Is there a direct in/ ht bypass or some other way to bypass the internal preamp? would like to use a preamp with tubes?
  I have not found or heard of a way to defeat the internal Marantz Pre Amp; this is the one thing they take particular pride in. The motto “BECAUSE MUSIC MATTERS” is based on the specific Marantz processing: Marantz proprietary HDAM circuit boards, Current Feedback circuitry, 32-bit D/A converters, and Hybrid PLL Clock Jitter Reducer for more detailed, dynamic sound. And, to me, for an AVR, their pre amp processing is “best in class.”

• Use as a processor only? I am wanting to use this using the pre-outs with amps powering all speakers. My sub’s are passive, amps required?
  In theory, yes. I’m not sure if there are pre-outs for the height channels and I’m not at home to look at the back.

• Can I connect wireless speakers for surround sound, especially for rear speakers?

• Do any of the Marantz head units have Alexa built-in or are they all just compatible?
  While, I can’t speak to all Marantz units, my SR6015 is Alexa compatible. As such, I have been able to have Alexa turn on and stream music from Amazon Prime to it by designating the 6015 as “the Living Room.” Thus the command “Alexa, play soft jazz in the living room” allows my wife to hear music without the need for multiple remote control operations, a real plus for her. But it is dependent on my Alexa device.

• Using HDMI out can you have the same program playing on another tv without lag or will i still need an HDMI splitter? |
  You don’t need a splitter with the SR6015. This AVR has Monitor1 and Monitor2 Outputs. Also, there is HDMI OUT for ZONE2 You can use either of HDMI IN 1-7 to output to Monitor1 or/and Monitor2, simultaneously or separately, playing the same source or separate sources.  If both the HDMI MONITOR 1 and HDMI MONITOR 2 connectors are connected and “Resolution” is set to “Auto” in SETTINGS, the signals are output with a resolution that is compatible with both TVs. When the “Resolution” setting in the menu is not set to “Auto”, set the resolution in “Video” – “HDMI Monitor1” and “HDMI Monitor2” to one that is compatible with both TVs. If one TV is 4K and the other is 2K, set the resolution to 2K, not Auto. When connecting multiple Dolby Vision TVs, the signal will only be optimal for one TV. A TV connected to the HDMI MONITOR1 connector has priority. The non-priority TV should output to just 4K. If there is lag anywhere at all, it won’t be because of the SR6015. You’ll have to assure you have good fast internet and quality input component.

• Just purchased the sr6015 and wanted to know the best method to connect my Marantz sa8003 cd player that has a semiconductor cs4398 DAC chip inside?
  The best I can think of is an optical connection. It also should have components in a labeled CD.

• Does the receiver run hot?
  Yes, this receiver runs hotter than any receiver I’ve ever owned no matter what volume you run it at. If you’re going to use it as a preamp it will run super cool. I primarily use it as a preamp and second zone audio.

• Does this unit come with auro 3d preloaded or must i pay for another upgrade? i have it on my denon avr-x4300h?
  Regarding multichannel surround sound: Auro-3D Audio, DTS-X Pro, and Bass Synch are only available on SR7015 and up in Marantz SR Series.

• How many bands is the equalizer? can I access/use the equalizer on the front display or just on my tv?
  It has nine bands and it can be adjusted on the front display and on the screen. It’s difficult to adjust on the front screen.
