KARCHER CR 5.220 Automatic Hose Reel
Please read and comply with these original instructions prior to the initial operation of your appliance and store them for later use or subsequent own- ers.
General notes
Proper use
- This product has been designed for use in private households and is not intended for commercial use.
- The manufacturer is not responsible for any damages that may occur on account of im-proper use or wrong operations.
- This product is an automatic hose box that allows for even unrolling of the garden hose. After use, the hose can be recoiled automatically by one simple pull. The box is mounted to the wall with the enclosed wall mount. It has a variable swivel range of up 180 degrees.
- Please observe the requirements of EN 1717 when connecting this product to the drinking water network and contact your sanitation specialists if you have any ques-tions.

- To avoid risks, all repairs and replace-ment of spare parts may only be carried out by the authorised customer service personnel.
- This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensoric or mental capacities or lack of experience and/or skills, un-less such persons are accompanied and supervised by a person in charge of their safety or if they received precise instructions on the use of this product. Children should be supervised to pre-vent them from playing with the product.

Preparing the Appliance

- Mark the bores to mount the wall mount and place dowels into the drilled bores.
- Fasten the wall mount using the includ-ed washers and screws.
CAUTION
Risk of damage! Check the load-bearing capacity of the wall prior to installation.

- Insert the metal bar of the hose box into the wall bracket from the top.

The product can be protected against theft. For this purpose, attach a padlock to the metal bar (drilled hole) under-neath the wall bracket of the hose box

- Loosen both screws on the stopper.
- Move the stopper to the desired posi-tion and retighten it.
Operation
CAUTION
Risk of crushing! Do not reach into the hose outlet while the hose is being
pulled out or coiled up.
NOTICE
Make sure the hose has a free backflow. It must not be too dirty prior to
being coiled up to ensure the proper function of the auto-matic coiling.

Connect the connecting hose to the wa-ter tap.

Open tap.
Unroll the hose -
Pull the hose out to the desired length. The hose can be locked in regular inter-vals. The lock becomes noticeable due to a click.

Attach the Kärcher garden accessories to the hose coupling.
Coil the hose -
Trigger the automatic coiling function by briefly and gently pulling the hose.

The garden hose is coiled up evenly.
Finish operation -
Turn off tap.
Maintenance
The product is maintenance-free.
CAUTION
- Risk of injury! The hose box must not be opened.
- Repair work on the product may only be performed by the authorized customer ser-vice.
- Proceed as follows to replace the connect-ing hose:
- Remove the side panel and loosen the hose clamp using a screwdriver.
- Pull out the hose.
Transport
CAUTION
In order to prevent accidents or injuries, mind the weight of the appliance
during transport (see technical data).
When transporting by hand
Lift the device on the handle, remove it from the wall bracket and transport it on the carrying handle.
Storage
Ensure that the hose is completely drained prior to storing it. The water is best drained by uncoiling the entire hose. The spray nozzle must be open during this procedure.
CAUTION
In order to prevent accidents or injuries, mind the weight of the appliance
when choosing the storage location (see technical data).
Store the appliance in a frost free area.
