Safety instructions

Warning

The switch is part of the building installation. During planning and setup, the relevant national standards and directives must be observed. The device may only be operated on a 230 V 50 Hz AC voltage network. Work on the 230 V network must only be carried out by an electrician certified in your country. The applicable accident prevention regulations must be adhered to.
To avoid an electric shock from the device, please disconnect the mains voltage (switch off the automatic circuit breaker). Failure to comply with the installation instructions can cause fires or other hazards.
The installation must be carried out only in conventional flush-mounted sockets with a minimum depth of 60 mm.
When connecting to the device terminals, note the permissible cables and cable cross-sections for this.
Do not use any heat-generating devices (such as electric blankets, coffee machines, etc.) with this product. There is a risk of fire and injury.
Do not use this product with any devices that are motorized or any devices that have a rotating component or tool. There is a risk of injury.
Observe the circuit diagram carefully!

Before mounting, check that the wall you have chosen is suitable for the weight to be mounted. Also make sure that there are no electric, water, gas or other lines running through the wall at the mounting site.

Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.
Do not continue to operate the device if it is visibly damaged
Only operate with closed safety covers
Metal covers must not be used.
Not suitable for motor-powered appliances or heaters.
Use the product only for the intended purpose.
Protect the product from dirt, moisture, and overheating, and use it in dry rooms only.
Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources, or in direct sunlight.
Only use the article under moderate climatic conditions.
As with all electrical products, this device should be kept out of the reach of children.
Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the technical data.
Do not use the product in areas in which electronic products are not permitted.
Do not use the product in a damp environment and avoid splashing water.
Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
Dispose of packaging material immediately in accordance with the locally applicable regulations
The product must only be operated on a supply network as described on the type plate.

Download the Hama Smart Home (Solution) APP from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Open the Hama Smart Home (Solution) APP
The first time you use the app, you need to register and create a new account. If you already have an account, log in with your access details.
Follow the instructions in the app.

Operating Instructions

Installation

Switch off the relevant fuse (fuse box) for the room in which you wish to install the WiFi retrofit switch.
Check that the wires are de-energized using a suitable measuring device (e.g. multimeter).
Connect the switch as shown on page 2.
Fit the switch under a suitable flush-mounted socket (note the minimum depth of 60 mm)

Getting started

After installation of the WiFi switch (by a specialist), the connect lamp flashes quickly and you will hear the relay clicking. If it does not flash, or flashes slowly, switch the connected light switch off and on again three times in succession.
Then follow the instructions from AppGuide.

Note: socket installation

Once the WiFi switch has been added as described above in the app, it can optionally also be fitted behind a socket. The socket can then be conveniently switched on and off via the app or voice command.
Please note that, when used behind a socket, the max. current is reduced to 10 A and the power to the max. 2300 W.
Once integrated, the app will not lose the WiFi switch itself in the event of a power cut.

Note: Pairing restart
To restart pairing mode, the WiFi upgrade switch must first be connected to a switch (e.g. wall switch). Now switch the upgrade switch ON and OFF three times quickly. It is now back in pairing mode.
6.1 Integrating devices into the Hama Smart Home (Solution) app

After installation of the WiFi switch (by a specialist), the connect lamp flashes quickly and you will hear the relay clicking. If it does not flash, or flashes slowly, switch the connected light switch off and on again three times in succession.
Open the app and sign in.
Press the “+ in the top right-hand corner to add a new device.
Choose Switches from the list.
Next, enter your WiFi password and confirm with “NEXT”.
Now confirm that the connected lamp is flashing quickly by ticking “Next step” and then clicking on “Next”.
Your switch is now connected.
Once the connection is successful, the LED stops flashing quickly and the app confirms that your switch has been connected. You can now assign it a different name if you wish.
Click Finish to end the process.
You can now attach the switch and configure it.

The following settings can be made in the app:

For extended usage options, scenarios can be created in the app. (See Section 7 and App Guide)

Extended usage options with scenarios

Scenarios and automated sequences that can be created in the app allow various combination options and usage options for these products, depending on the SmartHome products in your home. Programming is always via the app (see Section 4 of the App Guide) and will be offered/suggested to you on an individual basis.

The motion sensor can be used for monitoring (push message to the smartphone when triggered) or for controlling other smart products (e.g. lamps).

Care and maintenance

Note

Disconnect the product from the mains before cleaning and during prolonged periods of non-use.
Only clean this product using a lint-free, slightly damp cloth and do not use any harsh cleaners.
Ensure that no water is able to enter the product.
