INDICATORS
LED indicators, signalize operation status and battery level: Power indicator
- green still – battery is charged
- green flashing – battery level below 5% – You should immediately be assured because the device will stop balancing after a low battery message.
- When the battery level is excessively low, the device will automatically slow down. It’s an indication for the user to immediately slow down, stop and step down! Do not attempt to drive until the battery is recharged as it poses a risk of falling. Do not continue using the vehicle, as the system will automatically tilt the base of the platform to prohibit using the device – risk of falling is increased!
- A distance the vehicle can cover depends on many factors, and thus may decrease in relation to:
- topography: uneven surface will shorten the range;
- weight;
- temperature: extreme temperatures shorten the range, the battery
- maintenance: proper handling, charging, etc. will optimize the range distance;
- speed: moderate, economic driving will optimize distance; while frequent starts, stops, changes of speed reduce the distance.
- Maximum speed for the vehicle is ~10 km/h.
- IMPORTANT:
When you approach the maximum speed, the device will try to prevent you from accelerating further. It will tilt back in order to shift your weight backward. You may feel that you are being ‘pushed’ back or that you cannot make it go any faster. Do not continue leaning or bending forward to increase your speed or you will fall.
