Step 1: Check the contents of your box and assembling

1. Take the “ SMART LED 100LIGHT
STRAND WITH ADAPTOR”
out of the box| 2. Included are:
A. 100-light strand
B. Control box
C. Adaptor
D. 2 Spare bulbs| 3. Connect the adaptor with
the light strand

4. Spread out the 100-Light strand with an adaptor.| 5. Plug the adaptor
into an AC power source.
Step 2: Connect to Alexa
- Download the “Amazon Alexa” application from the app store on your mobile device.
- Install and open the “Amazon Alexa” application.
- Go to the settings menu.
- Select “Add Device”
- Select “Christmas Tree” and follow the on-screen instructions. *If you are not using your lights on a Christmas Tree, for ease of use, update the device names as needed (for example, “[staircase light strand]” or “hallway light strand”).
- To use with the “Add a strand” (#68314, sold separately), just connect it to the end (unscrew the cap first) of the current 68313 light strands. Each “Add a strand” has 100 lights. You can connect up to 4 “Add a Strand” sets to make it up to 500 lights.
Barcode Scanning & Location
Note that during device setup you may be asked to scan a device barcode. You
can find this on the back of the controller, shown in Figure A.
Step 3A: Change your LED lighting Mode using Alexa
Follow the voice commands for up to 40 lighting functions.

Step 3B : Manually change your LED lighting mode
Push Button on Control Box to switch LED Lighting Mode. There are a total of 40 lighting modes listed below:
Demo Mode is available: Press and holds the button on the control box of the tree for 3-4 seconds. The tree lights will do 3 flashes of green as an indication of instruction received, and start the Demo mode to play all 40 lighting functions.

Step 3C: Automate your Light Strand with Routines
Alexa Routines allow you to automate your light strand functionality. With Routines, you can turn your light strand on with custom commands (i.e. Good Morning) or turn the light strand on/off at scheduled times (i.e. every day at 10 AM)
How to Enable Routines with Alexa.
- Open the Alexa app.
- Go to the menu and select “Routines”
- Select Plus
- Select “When this happens”, and then choose how to begin your Routine (i.e. “Good Morning, or a scheduled time).
- Select “Add Action”, select “Smart Home”, and then select your light strand device in the list. Configure the desired LED lighting mode for your selected action.

Connectivity Troubleshooting
Common connectivity troubleshooting steps.
I can’t connect my device to Alexa.
- Check that your Alexa device and the Alexa app have the latest software version.
- Make sure that your Alexa device and the light strand are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Check that your device is within 30 ft. (9 m) of the light strand.
- Reset the light strand: press and hold the button on the control box for 10 seconds to reset the light strand. Follow the instructions on page 3 to set up your device with the Alexa app.
I can’t get the light strand barcode to successfully scan.
- During the Alexa mobile app setup process, select “Don’t Have a Barcode”
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
My Light Strand stopped working with Alexa.
- Try a power cycle: Unplug your Christmas Tree from the outlet, and then plug it back in.
- Full reset your Christmas Tree: Press and hold the button on the control box of the tree for 10 seconds. Indication of action done: 3 flashes of white light.
Follow the instructions on page 3 to set up your device with the Alexa app.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical products, basic precautions should always be followed including the Following:

- Do not let bulbs rest on the supply cord or on any wire.
- Unplug the product when leaving the house, when retiring for the night, or if left unattended.
- This is an electric product-not a toy! To avoid the risk of fire, burns, personal injury, and electric shock it should be played with or placed where small children can reach it.
- Do not use this product for anything other than its intended use.
- Do not hang ornaments or other objects from the cord, wire, or light string.
- Do not close doors or windows on the product or extension cords as this may damage the wire insulation
- Do not cover the product with cloth, paper, or any material not part of the product when In use.
- This product is equipped with push-in-type bulbs. Do not twist bulbs.
- Read and follow instructions that are on the product or provided with the product.
- Save these instructions.
User Servicing Instructions
Replace the bulb.
- Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling on cord.
- Pull bulb and plastic base straight out of bulb holder
- Replace bulb with only 3 Volt 0, 06 Watt LED type bulb (provided with product).
If the new bulb base does not fit in the bulb holder, follow the steps below before step 3.
a) Remove the base of the burned-out bulb by straightening bulb leads and gently pulling the bulb out.
b) Thread leads of the new bulb through holes In the old base with one lead in each hole.
c) After the bulb is fully inserted into the base, bend each lead-up like other bulbs in the light set. so that the leads will touch the contacts inside the bulb holder.
CAUTION
- To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock do not attempt to replace bulbs or modify the string.
- To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock: a) Do not install on trees needles, leaves or branch coverings of metal or materials which look like metal, and b) Do not mount or support strings in a manner that can cut or damage wire insulation.
