KOBE GLOVES INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF GLOVES
USE
The gloves are part of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) class
established by the European Directive no. 89/686/CCE and comply with the rules
of this Directive (until 21 April 2018) also European Reglementation 2016/425
(starting with 21 April 2018).
The gloves are a protective equipment intended for the personal protection of
the user, ensuring protection against the action of minimum risk factors
(household use).
The gloves protect against:
- actions of mechanical factors with surface effects;
- cleaning products with weak action that is easily reversible;
- risks related to the handling of hot objects with a temperature not higher than 100° C and for a contact duration of less than 10 seconds;
- atmospheric factors that are not exceptional;
- light shocks/hits and scratches, the effects of which cannot cause irreversible damage to the body.
CAUTION!
These gloves do not offer protection under any conditions! They are not
infallible! Heat-treated products usually have a temperature above 100 degrees
Celsius during handling. For this reason, please be careful when using them.
Do not use the gloves when under the influence of alcohol or other substances
with at least a similar effect!
Try handling the products using your hands alternately, so that during the
contact of one glove with the hot surface, the other glove has adequate time
to cool down.
Do not put your hand in hot liquids and do not hold the gloves in hot steam!
Do not use the gloves to remove dishes / trays from the hot oven!
Do not use gloves on products from which hot liquids can leak and could
penetrate the glove membrane, otherwise burns can occur on the skin! The palm
layer that covers the knitted material is made from nitrile with limited
waterproof properties, to allow the hand`s perspiration to evaporate.
Protection at high temperatures, according to certification, is provided only
on the palm part of the glove. The back does not offer this protection, the
glove being designed to eliminate much of the perspiration through the back.
After each use the gloves must be examined with the organoleptic method to see
if they have lost their protective and strength properties.
In case the protection and strength properties have been reduced, resulting
from the aging of the materials or if defects due to mechanical elements are
observed – perforations, peeling, breaking, difficult to remove dirt, the
gloves must be immediately removed from use.
These gloves are not certified for direct contact with food! They can be used
for the thermal preparation of food (fruit, vegetables, seafood, meat, etc.)
only when between them and the glove there is an intermediate contact surface
certified for this use (food aluminum foil, baking paper, etc.).
The manufacturer is not responsible for defects or damage that have occurred
as a result of improper maintenance and use conditions and rules.
STORAGE
The gloves should be stored on ventilated wooden or metal shelves, in dry
rooms and in ventilated places, at a temperatures of 5 to 25° C and a relative
humidity of 65 +/- 5%, at a distance of not less than 1.5 meters from heating
installations and lighting points, in conditions that prevent them soaking
with water, to become dirty, mechanically damaged, the action of chemical
factors and the sun. Store for a maximum of one year from the date of
purchase.
MAINTENANCE
The gloves will be subjected to daily maintenance at the end of the work done
with them. Dirty gloves should be cleaned with a dry cloth or soft brush. The
gloves can be washed with warm water using only dishwashing detergent in a
minimum concentration (one drop), then rinsed with plenty of water and always
dried at room temperature. Do not use a dryer for the gloves. Do not iron. Do
not use bleach, conditioner or other substances used in washing. Do not dry
clean.
The period of use is at most 12 months from the date of purchase.
