INSTALLING YOUR MOUNT!
Riding bicycles can be dangerous. These instructions should be read thoroughly before installation. Failure to follow these instructions before installing and using Hope Technology Components can result in severe injury or death.
BOX CONTENTS

TOOLS REQUIRED
- 4mm Hex
- T2S Torx driver
- These direct shifter mounts are for TECH4 master cylinders.
- SRAM version will fit all SRAM shifters with removeable clamp.
- SHIMANO version will fit SHIMANO EV shifters only.
NOTE: SRAM mount and shifter is shown on diagrams for illustration purposes. Proceed the same way for SHIMANO mounts.
INSTALLATION

If present remove the gear shifter and it’s clamp. Remove the MS clamp bolt on the brake master cylinder using a 4mm hex and remove from the handlebars.

Place the special captive nut into the slotted hole in the master cylinder clamp. Re fit the master cylinder to the handlebars and tighten the MS clamp bolt using a 4mm hex. Recommended tightening torque: 4-5 N.m.

Identify the RH and LH shifter mount. RH mounts are for the RH master cylinder as viewed when you sit on the bike and vice versa. If you run your master cylinder a long way inboard you can use the LH shifter mount on the RH master cylinder to position the shifter closer to the grip.

Locate the shifter mount over the special nut on the underside of the clamp. Install the MS bolt and tighten loosely using a T2S torx driver, don’t fully tighten the bolt. The shifter mount can now slide round the clamp, when you have found the best fore/aft position tighten the MS bolt. Recommended tightening torque: 4-5 N.m.
NOTE: You may have to temporarily install the shifter to find the optimal setting. -
SRAM SHIFTERS: Install the shifter onto the direct mount and using a T2S Torx driver tighten the MS bolt. Recommended tightening torque: 4-5 N.m.
NOTE: On SRAM mounts either of the tapped holes can be used combined with the slot on the direct mount to find the best lateral position. -
SHIMANO SHIFTERS: Install the shifter onto the direct mount using the MS bolt supplied and fitted to the shifter. Tighten the bolt using a 3mm Hex. Recommended tightening torque: 4-5 N.m.
NOTE: Shimano mounts the shifter can slide side to side to find the best lateral position.

Product must be returned to the original retailer to process any warranty claim. This warranty does not cover any damage caused through misuse or failing to comply by the recommendations given in this manual. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
