Safety instructions
Intended Use
The dust collector was built to be installed under a work table or table top and was developed exclusively to extract dust such as is produced when working in the nail salon. Any other use that goes beyond this and does not comply with the accident prevention regulations of the trade association is considered improper. The manufacturer is not liable for any resulting damage. In this case, the user must bear the risk alone.
Intended use also includes, among other things, observing the respective manufacturer‘s operating instructions for the system components of the dust collector as well as the inspection and maintenance regulations.
The system components are built and linked according to the latest state of the art and the recognized safety regulations. Nevertheless, their use can pose a risk to the user or third parties or damage to the system or other property.
Irrespective of the laws and regulations mentioned in these instructions, the applicable laws and regulations must be observed and the generally recognized rules of technology applied.
Organizational measures
The operating instructions for the Taifun III dust collector must be available to the operating and maintenance personnel at all times.
In addition to the operating instructions, general, company-internal legal and other binding regulations for accident prevention and environmental protection must be observed and instructed. It must be ensured that the filters are regularly cleaned and dry cleaned in accordance with the instructions for use. If cleaning is no longer possible, the filters must be replaced with the replacement filters specified by the manufacturer. The replaced or clogged filters must be disposed of in accordance with the Closed Substance Cycle and Waste Management Act. The personnel assigned to work on the suction device must have read and understood the operating manual and in particular the chapter on safety before starting work.
We recommend that the management confirm that the instruction has been carried out by signing it.
All safety and hazard warnings on the system must be observed.
All safety and hazard warnings on the machine must be kept in a legible condition.
In the event of safety-relevant changes to the machine or its operating behavior, the machine must be shut down immediately, the fault eliminated and the responsible department or person reported immediately.
Without the approval of the manufacturer of the dust collector, no changes, additions or conversions may be made to the machine that impair safety. Deadlines for periodic tests/inspections that are prescribed or specified in the operating instructions must be observed. This also applies to maintenance instructions in the documentation of the component manufacturers.
Personnel selection and qualification
Only instructed, mentally and physically capable persons who are at least 16 years old may work on the machine.
Work on the electrical equipment of the dust collector may only be carried out by a qualified electrician or by a „particularly trained person“ under the guidance and supervision of a qualified electrician in accordance with electro technical regulations.
specialists and instructed persons in this sense, service technicians/Customer service of the manufacturer or trained electricians.
Safety instructions for normal operation
In the case of commercial use, the dust collector must be checked at least once a year by a qualified person in accordance with the following specifications of the trade association.
BGV A3 „Electrical systems and resources“
In addition, the system must be checked regularly, at least once a year, to ensure that it is operationally safe in accordance with the specifications of the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV). The tests are to be documented according to the specifications.
Safely fix potential blockages
In the event that a foreign body gets inside the housing or into the blower motors, proceed as follows:
-
Disconnect the device from the mains voltage
-
Try to remove the foreign body from the outside
-
If the foreign body cannot be removed from the outside, the device must be dismantled by a trained specialist and replaced if necessary. be opened.
» Safety instructions -
Any non-intended mode of operation is to be avoided.
-
The dust collector may only be operated by people who are mentally and physically fit.
-
Make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the required voltage of 230V.
-
The dust collector and filter must be cleaned or replaced regularly according to the manufacturer‘s instructions.
-
Only the filters listed in the operating instructions and provided by the manufacturer may be used.
-
Appropriate measures must be taken to ensure that the dust collector is only used when it is in a safe and functional condition.
-
Before each use of the dust collector, it must be checked for externally visible damage and defects.
-
To avoid electric shock or other hazards, never open an electrical housing and do not insert any objects into the housing.
-
The dust collector is protected with a built-in fuse. A defective fuse must not be bridged or replaced with a stronger fuse.
-
Safety-related damage (e.g. loosened screw connections, defective protective devices, electrical errors, defective operating devices) must be reported to the responsible supervisor or the manufacturer. The latter must then check whether safe use is still possible.
-
Repairs may only be carried out by authorized and competent persons.
-
Before starting work, every employee must ensure that nobody is endangered by the use of the dust collector.
-
A damaged dust collector must be shut down immediately and secured against being started up again.
Notes on special dangers
Electrical power
Only use original fuses with the prescribed amperage! Make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the required voltage of 230V. In the event of a fault in the electrical power supply, switch off the machine immediately.
Work on electrical systems or equipment may only be carried out by a qualified electrician or by trained persons under the direction and supervision of a qualified electrician in accordance with electro technical rules.
If inspection, maintenance, cleaning and repair work is carried out on machine parts, the dust collector must be disconnected from the power circuit by removing the power plug from the socket or the voltage must be switched off.
The electrical equipment of the machine must be inspected/tested regularly.
Defects such as loose connections or scorched cables must be eliminated
immediately.

Noise
The machine generates only small, barely perceptible vibrations and noise with a rating level of LAR > 58 dB(A). In accordance with the “Noise and Vibrations Occupational Health and Safety Ordinance” (LärmVibrationsArbSchV for short), these are not health hazards.
UVV regulations
The individual employers‘ liability insurance associations only issue accident
prevention regulations (UVV) that are relevant for their area. The collection
of individual accident prevention regulations published by the main
association of
commercial professional associations includes all of the currently valid
accident prevention regulations (UVV) issued by commercial professional
associations.

Instructions for transporting the system
The filters should be inserted and the filter openings closed so that no
foreign bodies can get into the device. Suitable cardboard packaging must also
be used for transporting the system to prevent foreign bodies from getting
into the suction, the filters or the motors from above. Before rebuilding the
system, make sure that
there are no foreign bodies in the system itself, in the filters or in the
motors.
The installation instructions specified on page 8 below apply to
reinstallation.
Instructions for storing the system
The system must always be kept in a dry and dust-free environment. It is also
important to use suitable cardboard for this purpose. Should the system
nevertheless become soiled during storage, it must be thoroughly cleaned
before installation and commissioning. This should be carried out after
instruction by a
specialist or an instructed person.
Information on decommissioning, dismantling and disposal
When decommissioning individual system components, the respective manufacturer‘s operating instructions for the components must be consulted. If individual parts of the system are removed from the network and the system as a whole continues to be operated, care must be taken to secure possible danger points.
If this affects the safety level of the system in individual areas or overall, the manufacturer‘s CE declaration of conformity is no longer valid. The operator is responsible for this. When dismantling larger system parts and assemblies, a risk analysis must be carried out to determine whether this or any risks arise for the employees.
A work plan must specify the work to be carried out in terms of process and safe working.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Function
The nail dust collector is switched on and off with the green illuminated push button switch.
The speed control is used to continuously adjust the suction power.
Cleaning
It should always be noted that the dust collector must be disconnected from
the mains voltage during cleaning and maintenance work!
Use the hand screws (knurled screws) to loosen the removable front panel and carefully pull out the activated carbon lamellar filter using a loop.
The activated carbon lamella filters should be taken out and cleaned about 1-2 times a week (only the upper dust side). If possible, shake it out outside or knock it out and put it back in. Do not treat wet and replace after about a year.
Changing the filters and the frequency of cleaning can vary depending on the effort, care and number of customers.
