- Lay the luminaire into the T-Bar grid.
- Screw the T-Bar clips into the housing of the luminaire.
- Screw the clips to the load-bearing main runners of the T-Bar grid.
Step 3: Sealing Holes (for specific applications)
For applications like cleanrooms or wet locations, ensure to seal any holes
in the housing appropriately to prevent any ingress of unwanted substances.

- Installation requires knowledge of the design and operation of the product’s electrical systems and the hazards involved, and should only be performed by a qualified electrician.

- Make all electrical and grounded connections by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local code requirements. All wiring connections should be capped with UL-approved wire connectors.

- For cUL units, the LED Retrofit Kit is acceptable as a component of a luminaire where the suitability of the combination shall be determined by CSA or authorities having jurisdiction.

T-Bar Clip Installation Instructions
- T-Bar clips are used to secure grid-mounted luminaires to suspended T-Bar grids. Also known as earthquake clips or hurricane clips, they are often required by local building codes. The exact shape of the clips varies depending on the luminaire.
- L.A. Lighting provides T-Bar clips with all grid-mounted luminaires, as well as the screws needed to attach the clips to the luminaire housing. The installer must provide the screws needed to secure the clips to the T-Bar grid.
- Installation of T-Bar clips is simple: after the luminaire is laid into the T-Bar grid, the clips are screwed into the housing.
- The clips are then screwed to the load-bearing main runners of the grid. For applications such as cleanrooms and wet locations, the holes in the housing must then be appropriately sealed. Be sure to check local building codes to determine if additional mounting hardware, such as safety cables, is required
