Just wondering if / how you can play videos embedded into the PowerPoint presentation.

Please set the blackout button to the mouse-click feature via KensingtonWorks. Then you can use the cursor control feature to click videos or links embedded in our presentation deck

Does it work with smart notebook technologies (classroom teaching software)?

The laser pointer bit doesn’t show up on them but the remote itself actually controls the computer software such as PowerPoint, so it works with any computer/laptop, etc, as it is USB. as opposed to the projector itself. Making it useful no matter where you take it to use it, but the laser doesn’t show up on the screen no.

Will the laser dot show up on an LCD screen?

There isn’t a laser dot – the clicker has to be pointed at the USB stick to proceed to the next presentation slide

Will this device work on Windows 8.1?

YES, I have Windows 8:1 on my new laptop. But the key thing is to have presentation software like MS Office Powerpoint if you are wanting to present using PowerPoint. The USB from the Kensington Presenter needs to download its drivers onto your system to ‘talk’ to your presentation and click to change the cards in your presentation pack

How do I connect my laser pointer to my laptop?

The USB receptor is located at the end of the handle portion of the pointer on top to pull out and plug into the USB port. To turn on the laser pointer slide the button to right. Features. To launch the slide show use the play button. To end the slide show use the black screen button.
