- Read all instructions.
- Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the blender.
- Ensure that the appliance, the power cable and the power plug are never immersed in water or other liquids.
- Use the appliance only in dry rooms; never use it outdoors or in damp environments.
- Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or damp during operation. Route the power cable in such a way that it cannot become trapped or damaged in any way.
- Always remove the plug from the power socket after use. Switching off the appliance is not sufficient because the appliance receives power as long as the power plug is connected to the socket.
- Check to ensure that the appliance is in a serviceable condition before use. The appliance may not be used if it shows signs of damage, especially to the motor block, cable or the blender attachment.
- This Blender has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
- Remove the plug from the socket immediately if you notice unexpected smells or noises coming from the appliance while it is in use or if there is an evident malfunction.
- DO NOT let the cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface.
- DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE FIRST USE
UNPACKING
- Remove all packaging materials or protective films from the appliance. Retain the packaging, so that you can store the appliance safely.
- Before using the appliance, check that it is free of damage; check also that the power cable and plug as well as all accessories and appliance parts are undamaged.
- Clean all components carefully before using the appliance for the first time (see “Cleaning and Maintenance”) and check that all accessories are complete and the unit is not damaged.
SET UP & USE
Once all components have been cleaned as described in the “Cleaning and Maintenance” position the appliance so that:
- The mains cable passes through the recess at the rear of the appliance.
- The power plug is immediately accessible, so that it can be quickly withdrawn in the event of danger.
- That it is placed on a stable at location and not liable to slip, and so that the sucker feet can attach firmly and the appliance cannot tip over due to vibration.
- That the mains cable is not in the working area and thus does not present a risk of being inadvertently snagged and tipping the appliance over.
WARNING
The motor switches off automatically as soon as the jug is removed from the
motor block or if the lid is opened. In such cases it may be easy to forget
that the machine is still switched on. The motor will then start unexpectedly
as soon as the jug attachment is tted or the lid is closed again.
Therefore:
- DO NOT insert the power plug into the wall socket until the jug is filled and mounted with its lid fitted and closed.
- Before fitting the blender, always check to see that the appliance is switched off or that the power plug has been removed.
- Switch the appliance off first, pull the plug out and wait until the motor has come to a standstill before removing the jug or opening the lid.
FITTING AND FILLING THE BLENDER
-
Remove the blender jug from the motor unit in a vertical, upward motion.
-
Remove the lid by rotating it anticlockwise towards position (see Fig.1) until you can pull it upwards.
-
Fill the blender jug.
-
Press the lid firmly down onto the blender jug. Close the lid by turning it clockwise to position until it audibly engages (see Fig.2). Ensure that the pouring spout on the blender is closed.
The motor cannot start until the lid is fitted flush. -
Press the measuring cup into the lid as far as it goes.
-
Place the completely filled and closed blender jug with the handle to the right on the motor unit. Make sure that the arrow on the blender jug aligns to the arrow on the motor block. Turn the blender slightly back and forth if it does not immediately sit properly. The motor cannot start until the blender jug is fitted flush to the motor unit.
SELECTING THE SPEED SETTING
Once the blender jug is filled and sitting completely closed on the motor
unit, you can switch on the appliance.
Set the control dial to
-
Level 1 – 3
for liquids or soft food, for mixing, blending and stirring -
Level 3 – 5
for more solid foods or for chopping -
Level P (pulse function)
for short, powerful impulse operation, e.g. for crushing ice cubes or when cleaning. To prevent overloading the motor, the control dial does not lock in this position. Therefore, hold the control dail in this position for short periods only.
NOTE: Fill the blender jug with a maximum of 180g of ice cubes. Otherwise, the ice cubes will not be crushed optimally.
NOTE: For each use, the consecutive operation time should be less than 3 minutes. Then the unit needs at least 10 minutes rest time, before the next cycle, let the unit cool to room temperature before performing the next operation cycle.
FILLING WHILE IN USE
To add more food while the blender is in use:
- Remove the measuring cup from the lid
- Add the ingredients
- Press the measuring cup back into the lid
WARNING!
- If you want to add additional foods during operation, use only the measuring cup provided for this purpose. DO NOT open the lid.
- DO NOT insert cutlery items or mixing tools into the blender jug while the appliance is in use. There is a considerable risk of injury if these come into contact with the swiftly rotating cutting blades 4.
REMOVING THE BLENDER JUG
If you want to remove the blender jug from the motor unit:
- Always start by setting control dail to the off position (“0”) and pulling out the mains plug.
- Wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before lifting the blender off the motor unit. Remove the blender from the motor unit in a vertical, upward motion.
USEFUL TIPS
- To achieve the best results when puréeing firm ingredients, add small amounts one after the other into the blender jug rather than a single large portion.
- When processing firm ingredients, cut them into small pieces (2 – 3 cm).
- Add thicker ingredients (such as yoghurt) into the blender jug first. If any of ingredients are not picked up during mixing, remove the blender jug from the motor unit, remove the lid and stir the ingredients with a suitable implement, such as a spoon. Replace the blender jug back on the motor unit with the lid closed and continue mixing.
- When mixing liquid ingredients, start off with a small amount of liquid. Gradually add more liquids to the mixture through the measuring cup.
- Usually, certain amount of liquid has to be added to facilitate the smooth running of the appliance. The proportion of the food and liquid is 2:3. The amount of mixture should not exceed the max level as indicated on the jar.
- The appliance can be stabilised by placing your hand on top of the closed blender during operation.
- When stirring firm or very viscous foods, it can be helpful to use the level P to avoid a blocking of the cutting blades
NOTE:
- DO NOT use the appliance to grind crystals of cooking salt, re ned sugar or white sugar. For example, to make powdered sugar.
- The following items should never be placed in the unit as they may cause damage: bones, large pieces of solid frozen food, or tough foods such as turnips.
- Never use boiling liquids or run the appliance empty.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- CAUTION: Be sure to turn off and unplug this appliance before cleaning. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or unit in water or liquid. After each use, always make sure plug is first removed from wall outlet.
- WARNING
- Handle the cutting blades with extreme caution. They are extremely sharp!
- Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners on the plastic or painted surfaces, they could be damaged by them.
CLEANING THE BLENDER JUG
- To prevent injuring yourself on the cutting blades, clean the blender only with a long-handled washing-up brush.
- Clean the measuring cup and the lid in a mild soap solution. You can remove the rubber seal to clean the blender lid by hand. Make sure that the rubber seal is correctly reattached before you use the lid again.
NOTE: You can also clean the lid together with the rubber seal, the measuring cup and the blender jug in the dishwasher along with the cutting blades. We recommend not removing the rubber seal when cleaning in the dishwasher, as it might otherwise deform. If possible, place the plastic parts in the upper basket of the dishwasher and make sure that they are not jammed. Otherwise, they could become misshapen or suffer from stress cracks.
DO NOT place the motor unit in the Dishwasher!
- If you clean the blender directly after use, you can often achieve a satisfactory and hygienic level of cleaning by doing the following: Fill the blender jug with 750 ml of water and add a drop of washing up liquid. Close the lid and fit the blender jug onto the motor unit. Insert the mains plug into the socket and activate the pulse function a few times so that the cutting blades plough through the water at maximum speed. Afterwards, rinse the blender jug with plenty of clean water to remove any washing up liquid residues.
- Dry all parts thoroughly before reusing or storing them.
- If this does not remove the dirt, you can remove the lower plastic part of the blender jug with the cutting blades from the glass part of the blender jug.
- Remove the blender jug from the motor unit. For better stability, remove the lid by turning it anticlockwise until you can pull it off upwards.
- Turn the blender jug upside down and turn the base of the blade assembly anticlockwise so that it can be detached from the blender jug.
- Clean both parts in a mild soap solution or in the dishwasher.
- You can carefully remove the sealing ring B from the inside of the blade assembly if necessary. Clean in mild soapy water and rinse with clean water. The blades are sharp be careful.
- Dry all parts thoroughly before reassembling them.
- If removed, reinsert the sealing ring into the blade assembly correctly. The blade assembly can be inserted back into the blender jug and turned clockwise to secure.
CLEANING THE MOTOR UNIT
- If necessary, clean the motor unit and its mains cable with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, apply a mild detergent to the cloth and wipe off with a cloth moistened only with water. Dry everything well afterwards.
- When cleaning, always check that the contact switch in the fitting for the blender jug is not blocked by soiling residues. DO NOT use any hard objects, these could damage the contact switch.
STORAGE
- If you do not intend to use the blender for an extended period, clean it thoroughly (see chapter “Cleaning & Maintenance”).
- Wrap the power cable around the cable retainer on the base of the
- motor block .
- Store the blender in a cool and dry location.
