Wolf Gordon GATHER Z-Clip Hardware Acoustical Panels
For use with GATHER Acoustical Panels
Installation for GATHER Acoustical panels is to be provided by a professional with extensive experience installing wallcovering, wall and ceiling-hung panels, and other Division 10 Specialty items.
Z-Clips can be used for conditions where GATHER Acoustical panels will need to be removable from walls. Z-Clips are 1-1/2″ wide and approx. 2″ high. Z-Clip Rails are 72″long. Both are available from Wolf-Gordon.
DIMENSIONS
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Z-clips should be set at a height determined by a cross line laser level line set at the existing partition.
- If using a Z-Clip Rail, attach the hanging rail to the existing wall first.
- Z-Clips should be placed no closer than 2-3″ from the top or side edges of the panel. The panel width will determine the number of clips needed on the back side. We recommend using three clips for a 4′-wide panel.
- Fasten Z-clips to the panels using zippy screws (purchase separately) with the open edge facing downward to match the open end of the Z-Clip Rail attached to the wall.
- A correct installation with Z-Clips will result in a ¼” gap between the panel and the wall.
Having a utility knife and a 4-foot non-slip straightedge with a 90º angle onsite will be handy to make cuts to and trim panels. A 4–6-foot ladder is also recommended.
Note: The information above is intended only as a guideline. The installer has the final responsibility for proper installation and evaluation of jobsite conditions.
