Changing the J1939 ECM Odometer Source
Changing the J1939 ECM Odometer Source
Vehicles with beacons that connect to the J1939* port will obtain the odometer
reading directly from the vehicle Engine Control Module (ECM). There are
multiple sources for the ECM odometer, which may not precisely match the
dashboard odometer. This feature allows users to change the source of the ECM
odometer to one that matches the dashboard. The feature is available in both
the Commercial Portal as well as the Beacon Test Page.
The J1939 protocol is supported on the green or black 9-pin diagnostics port, or the RP1226 port.
