Product Information

The EKS-D7P1S/EKS-D791S is a lockset that consists of an exterior lockset and an interior lockset. It features a light indicator, NFC sensor pad, key protect cover, mechanical keyway override, battery cover, and interior thumbturn. The lockset is designed to provide secure access control and can be programmed using crypto cards.

Product Usage Instructions

How to Lock/Unlock the Lockset:

  1. To lock the lockset:
    • Use a valid Construction Card to lock the lockset.
    • Turn the handle to secure the lock.
  2. To unlock the lockset:
    • Use a valid Construction Card to unlock the lockset.
    • Turn the handle to release the lock.

How to Program the Lockset:

  1. Tap a Crypto Card against the lock.
  2. Use a Construction Card to access the lock after programming.
  3. Note : The type of Crypto Card to use depends on the position of the door hinges:
    • If the door hinges are on the left side, use the Left Handed Crypto Card.
    • If the door hinges are on the right side, use the Right Handed Crypto Card.

How to Reset to Factory Settings:

  1. Tap a Recovery Card to the lock to reset it.
  2. Refer to the “How to Program the Lockset” instructions to re-program the lock after resetting with a Recovery Card.

Light Indicator Notifications:

  • To Lock/Unlock/Program with a Crypto Card:
    • Flashes green with one beep sound.
    • Flashes green with a long beep sound.
  • Reset to Factory Settings:
    • Flashes green three times with three beep sounds. Then, after a few seconds, the green light and the buzzer will stay on for 2 seconds.
  • Key Cover Open
  • Battery Low (please replace with four AA alkaline batteries)
  • Power On:
    • Flashes red for 30 seconds, then flashes green 5 times with 5 beep sounds. The green indicator and the buzzer will stay on for 2 seconds every time the lock is unlocked/locked with RFID. Alternates between a red flash and green flash twice and ends with a beep sound.
  • Failure to Lock:
    • Flashes red 5 times with 5 beep sounds.

  3. Tap a Crypto Card against the lock

  4. You can now use a Construction Card to access the lock.
    Crypto cards help calibrate the lock. There are two types of Crypto card. One is the Left Handed Crypto Card and the other is the Right Handed Crypto Card. Please follow the instructions below to find out which Handed Crypto Card to use.
    Please face the exterior lockset and stand in the front of the door to see which Crypto Card you need to use. This will depend on which side the door hinges are located
    If the door hinges are on the left, please use the Left Handed Crypto Card.
    If the door hinges are on the right, please use the Right Handed Crypto Card.

  5. RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS

Tap a Recovery Card to the lock
Please refer to HOW TO PROGRAM THE LOCKSET to re-program the lock after resetting the lock with a Recovery card.

  • Power On
    • Alternates between a red flash and green flash twice and ends wit h a beep sound
