Product Usage Instructions

Using the Scanner with Index Trigger and Hand Strap

  1. INSERT: Insert the scanner into the Index Trigger.
  2. ACTIVATE: Press the textile trigger on the Index Trigger for about 2 seconds to activate the scanner.
  3. SCAN: Aim at the barcode and scan by pressing the trigger.
  4. RELEASE: Release the trigger after scanning. Ensure proper handling between the scanner and the fastening rail.

Using the Scanner with a Reel

  1. INSERT: Insert the scanner into the Reel.
  2. ACTIVATE: Press the button on the bottom of the Reel for 2 seconds to activate the scanner.
  3. CONNECT WITH PAIRING BARCODE: Connect using PG Insight Mobile, BLE HID, or Gateway.
  4. SCAN: Press the trigger on the bottom of the Reel to scan the pairing Barcode.
  5. RELEASE: Release the trigger after scanning. Aim and scan the barcode properly.
  6. CHARGE: Insert the scanner in the Charging Station with pins facing down to charge.

  • NOTE For a simplified display, only a MARK 2 (mid-range) scanner will be used in the next steps.
  • NOTE The following describes how to use the scanner with an Index Trigger and Hand Strap.

Installation Instruction

  1. Insert the scanner in the Index Trigger.
  2. Press the textile trigger on the Index Trigger for about 2 seconds to activate the scanner.PROGLOVE-BASIC-2-Glove-Scanner-fig-4
  3. Press the textile trigger. Aim at the barcode and scan.
  4. Use the fingers to press between the scanner and the fastening rail of the Index Trigger. Press the scanner up slightly and push it forward without scratching over the pins.PROGLOVE-BASIC-2-Glove-Scanner-fig-5

NOTE: The following describes how to use the scanner with a Reel.

ATTENTION

  1. Insert the scanner into the Reel.

  3. Press the trigger on the bottom of the Reel. Aim at the Pairing Barcode and scan.

  5. Use the fingers to press between the scanner and the fastening rail of the Reel. Press the scanner up slightly and push it forward.

PROBLEM COULD NOT BE SOLVED?

Hard Reset:

  1. Insert the scanner in the wearable
  2. Hold the trigger pressed for about 15 seconds
  3. Release the trigger. Press the trigger again for about 2 seconds to reactivate the scanner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Scanner Is Not Working
PROBLEM: The scanner is not reacting / not scanning a barcode.

SOLUTION

  • Battery symbol flashes red – Charge the scanner in the Charging Station for at least 20 min.
  • Wearable is defective – Change the wearable.
  • Battery charge is low – Charge the scanner in the Charging Station for at least 20 min.

Scanner Scans Badly

PROBLEM: Crosshairs/scan dots light up, but barcodes are hard to scan.

SOLUTION

  • Dirty scanner glass – Clean with a cotton swap.
  • Adjust scanning distance – Position closer or further away from the barcode label as per the optimal range specified.
  • If the barcode label cannot be read, create a new label.

No Transmission of Barcode Data
PROBLEM: Barcode data is not transferred.

SOLUTION

  • Scanner not connected to end device – Scan Pairing Barcode on end device or Gateway via INSIGHT Mobile app. Wait for a successful connection.
