This appliance is intended for indoor, domestic household use only. It is not intended to be used in the following applications, and the guarantee will not apply for:

  • Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
  • Farm houses;
  • By clients in hotels, motels and other residential-type environments;
  • Bed and breakfast type environments.

For any commercial use, inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the warranty will not apply.

WARNING
Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging materials. The packaging materials pose a danger of suffocation. Always keep children away from the packaging materials. Children frequently underestimate the dangers.

  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by an adult responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or near children.

  • Intended use
    Misuse may lead to injury. Use this product solely by these instructions. Do not attempt to modify the product in any way.

  • Electrical safety

    • Risk of electric shock! Never attempt to repair the product yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.
    • Risk of burns! During use, the product gets hot. Do not touch the product while in use nor immediately after use.
    • Risk of electroshock! Do not immerse the product, the power cord or the power plug in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
    • Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the product.
    • Risk of electric shock! Never use a damaged product. Disconnect the product from the power supply and contact your retailer if it is damaged.
  • The product may not be used if it has been dropped or if there are visible signs of damage.

  • The product is powered at all times while it is connected to the power supply.

  • A short supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

  • If it is necessary to use an extension lead ensure that it is of suitable construction and power rating, with an earth connection; take all necessary precautions to prevent anyone tripping over an extension cord.

  • Make sure that the electric power supply is compatible with the power rating and voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance.

  • Any connection error will invalidate your warranty.

  • Given the diverse standards in effect, if the appliance is used in a country other than that in which it is purchased, have it checked by a service agent or similarly qualified persons.

  • Inspect the appliance and power cord for signs of wear or damage before to connecting to the power supply.

  • Do not use your appliance if it does not operate correctly, if it has been damaged or if the power cord or plug is damaged. To maintain safety, these parts must be replaced by a service agent or similarly qualified persons.

  • Any intervention other than normal cleaning and maintenance by the customer must be performed by a service agent or similarly qualified persons.

  • Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product’s rating label.

  • Never immerse the appliance or power supply cord in water or any other liquid. They are not dishwasher safe.

  • The removable sandwich, waffle & panini plates however are dishwasher safe.

  • Before first use, remove all packaging materials, stickers and accessories from the inside and the outside of the appliance.

  • Fully unwind the power cord before plugging in.

  • Always plug the appliance into an earthed socket.

  • Never disconnect the plug by pulling on the power cord.

  • Regularly check the power plug and the power cord for damages. Do not operate the product with a damaged power cord or plug or after the product malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  • Protect the power cord against damages. Do not let it hang over sharp edges, e.g., edge of table or counter, do not squeeze or bend it. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces and open flames.

  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer may result in injuries.

  • Do not use outdoors or for commercial use.

  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.

  • Extreme caution must be used when moving a product containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

  • Do not use the product for any use other than the intended. WARNING

  • Changes or modifications to this product not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the product.

  • The outer surface may get hot when the appliance is operating.

  • This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

Operation

  • The product must not be left unattended while it is connected to the power supply.
  • Do not move the product while it is in operation.
  • Do not use the product without an inserted set of plates.
  • Do not place the product on hot plates (gas, electric, etc.). Operate the product on a level, stable, clean, heat resistant and dry surface.
  • Do not cover the product while it is in use or shortly after use when it is still hot.
  • Make sure that the power cord is not pinched by the plates nor touches the rim of the plates.
  • Lay cords in such a way that they may not be tripped over or otherwise damaged.

Cleaning and storage

  • WARNING
    Risk of injury! Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning work and when not in use. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the product.

  • Do not store the hot product in a cupboard or in the packaging.

  • Do not pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet by the power cord.

  • Protect the product, its power cord and power plug against dust, direct sunlight, dripping and splashing water.

  • Store the product in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and out of the reach of children.

  • Protect the product against heat. Do not place the product close to open flames or heat sources such as stoves or heating appliances.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  • Remove the packaging. Check if all parts are complete.
  • During production, some parts are covered with a thin oil film for their protection. Before first use, operate the product without any food so that any potential residues may evaporate.
  • Clean the product and its accessories (see the “Maintenance and cleaning” section).

NOTICE The first few times the product is heated up, a faint odour may be present. Ensure sufficient ventilation in the area.
NOTICE The first food should not be consumed.

USE

Assembly

  • WARNING Risk of electric shock. Before installing/removing the plates [11][12][13]: Disconnect the power plug [4] from the wall outlet.

  • CAUTION Risk of burns. Do not install/remove the plates [11][12][13] right after operation. Let the product cool first.

  • Installing the plates

  • Open the lock [1]. Open the product.

  • Place the inner catch [10] of the chosen plate into the large hook catches [7].

  • Push down the plate until it clicks into place.

  • Repeat on the other side of the product.
    NOTICE Install only plates of the same type.

  • Removing the plates

  • Open the lock [1]. Open the product.

  • Pull the release levers [8]. Remove the plate.

  • Repeat on the other side of the product.

Operation

  • Preparation: Grease the upper and lower exchangeable plates [11][12][13] with suitable cooking oil. When using your appliance, opt for an oil that is suitable for cooking (i.e. one with a high smoke point). Do not use oil sprays such as aerosols, misters, pump sprays etc.
  • Turning the product on: Connect the power plug [4] to a suitable wall outlet. The red indicator [2] lights up.
  • Turning the product off: Disconnect the power plug from the wall outlet. The red indicator [2] goes off.
  • Keep the product locked while preheating.
  • Preheat until the green indicator [3] lights up.

NOTICE
During operation, the green indicator light [3] goes on and off from time to time. This indicates that the product is reheating up to the baking temperature.

  • This product is designed for making waffles and sandwiches and for grilling food or making panini’s (see the following sections).

Suggested baking/grilling times

Sandwiches| 3 to 6 minutes
Grilling panini| 4 to 9 minutes
Grilling sausages| 4 to 9 minutes (check the degree of browning from time to time)
Waffles (sweet/savoury)| 5 to 15 minutes

Grilling sandwiches
Suitable for: Sandwich pockets with sweet or savoury filling.

  • Plates:
    Sandwich plates (upper and lower plate) [11]

    • Open the lock [1]. Open the product.
    • Place prepared sandwiches onto the lower sandwich plate.
    • Close the product. Close the lock [1]. The sandwiches are now being grilled.
    • Grilling takes approx. 3 to 6 minutes. Depending on how crunchy you want your sandwiches to be, the baking time may be shortened or increased.

Grilling/Panini
Suitable for: Grilling smaller meat chunks, sausages, vegetables, or paninis.

  • Plates:
    Grill plates (upper and lower plate) [12]

    • Open the lock [1]. Open the product.
    • Place the food to be grilled onto the lower grill plate.
    • Close the product. Close the lock [1]. The food is now being grilled.
    • Grilling takes approx. 4 to 9 minutes. Depending on how crunchy you want your panini’s to be, the baking time may be shortened or increased. CAUTION! Danger of splashes. Do not use wet food for grilling. Fat splashes and rising steam will occur when opening the product.

Baking waffles
Suitable for: Sweet and savoury waffles

  • Plates:
    Waffle plates (upper and lower plate) [13]

    • Open the lock [1]. Open the product.
    • Use a wooden or heat-resistant plastic ladle to pour batter onto the lower waffle plate. Do not use metal ladles, as this could damage the non-stick surface of the plates.
    • Do not overfill the lower waffle plate with batter.
    • Close the product. Close the lock [1]. The batter is now being baked.
    • The baking process takes approx. 5 to 15 minutes. Depending on how brown you want your waffles to be, the baking time may be shortened or increased.

NOTICE

  • The housing of the 3 in 1 grill can get hot during use.
  • Removing food: Use a plastic/wooden spatula (or other suitable non-metallic tools) to avoid damaging the product’s non-stick coating.
  • While the food is being grilled, the green indicator light [3] will turn off and on again. This is to regulate the required operating temperature.
  • When you are done with grilling: Disconnect the power plug [4] from the wall outlet.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

WARNING Risk of electric shock! Before cleaning: Always disconnect the product from the wall outlet.
CAUTION Risk of burns! Do not clean the product right after the operation. Let the product cool first.
WARNING Do not immerse the product’s electrical components in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
NOTICE Clean the product right after it has cooled. Once food residue has dried, it is not easy to remove.

Part Cleaning method
3 in 1 grill Wipe down the housing with a slightly damp cloth. Do not let any

water or other liquids enter the product interior.
Plates [11] [12] [13]| The removable plates are dishwasher safe but to prolong the life of the non-stick coating, handwash recommended.
Spaces underneath the plates; Heating element [6]; Lock [1]| Removing fat and liquids: Use a piece of kitchen paper. Removing stuck-on burnt residue: Use a wooden spatula or small wooden skewers.

NOTICE

  • Do not use any abrasive, aggressive cleaner or hard brushes to clean the product or its accessories.
  • After cleaning: Let all parts dry completely.

STORAGE

CAUTION Risk of burns! Do not store the product right after operation. Let the product cool down first. Clean the product before storage. Wind the power cord [4] around the power cord retainer [5] on the bottom of the product. Store the product at a dry location out of the reach of children.

WARRANTY

For products sold within the European Economic Area and UK, you benefit from a 24-month warranty on the product as protection against a lack of conformity by Directive (EU) 2019/771 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK).
We are in any event not liable for any defects caused due to:

  • non-compliance with the care and use instructions;
  • normal wear and tear (e.g., discolourations or scratches); and/or
  • impact of external factors, e.g. weather damage, transport damage, damage caused by knocks or shocks.

In the event of a lack of conformity, depending on the circumstances,

  • the product will be repaired;
  • the product will be replaced;
  • a proportionate part of the price paid for the product will be repaid; or
  • the entire price paid for the product will be repaid.

Please do retain proof of purchase or delivery of the product mentioning the purchase or delivery date. You will need such proof of purchase or delivery if you wish to exercise the remedies for a lack of conformity.
