SETTING UP THE DEVICE

Powering On

  1. Plug the Power cable in the Power port on the tablet (1) and connect the other end directly into a standard outlet.
  2. Press the Power button on the back of the tablet (3).

Connecting to Wi-Fi

  1. Once powered on, Enter the main display by clicking on the circle in the bottom center of the screen.
  2. Select the Menu indicated by 3 dots in the upper right.
  3. Select ‘Wi-Fi’.
  4. Choose the Wi-Fi of your choice and connect.
  5. Once connected, select the circle at the bottom of the screen, the Android Home button, to return to the main kiosk menu.

Registering the VSA App

  1. Select ‘Get Started’.
  2. Enter the RTPOS Store ID for your store and select ‘Go’.

Bonding to a PC Register

  1. On the upper right corner of your VSA screen, you will have a ‘Connected’ indicator followed by your store ID you entered and a VSA key. Please provide this key to your RTPOS representative on site, via phone, or email along with your Thin Client ID from your Citrix.
  2. Once bonded, Exit RTPOS by selecting ‘Logout/Login’ and then ‘Exit RT POS’.
  3. Open the RTPOS application again through the Start menu on your register or the icon on your home screen.
  4. If the tablet does not automatically respond to designated transactions, such as a bill payment or sales invoice, please restart both the VSA machine by holding down the power button (3) and selecting ‘Restart’ and then RTPOS via the previous step.

Securing the Tablet

  1. Place one tablet next to one PC Register station. Make sure each tablet is facing the customers not the employee.
  2. Locate an area to tether the locking mechanism to or affix the base plate to the counter and then to the VSA unit.
  3. Top to bottom you will have the Screw, the Metal Lock Spacer, the Retaining Washer, the VSA unit, (see Fig. 1) and then the Swivel Base Mount underneath with built in nut.
