Operating Instructions

3.1 Hair structure
The device allows for individual temperature settings.
The following individual settings are recommended to work best with the specific hair structures listed:

  • For fine, brittle, color-treated, blonde hair: 130 °C to 170 °C
  • For normal hair: 170 °C to 190 °C
  • For strong, resistant, thick hair: 190 °C to 210 °C

3.2 Auto Shut Off
The device will switch off automatically one hour after you finish using it.

3.3 Usage

  • Section damp or dry hair evenly, and comb through before styling. Gently slide curling tong down to hair ends.
Remember always place the tong on top of a section when making a curl you want rolled under; place the tong under the section when making a flip style.

  • Wind the hair up as far as you want it curled, being careful not to let the tongue touch the scalp. Hold in place for 5-8 seconds depending on the texture and length of your hair. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose, free-flowing curls, roll more hair.

  • To remove the curling tong pull the tong away. To “set” the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools.

3.4 Temperature setting
If you touch the temperature selection (4) and move it from a lower to a higher setting, the corresponding temperature will flash on the LED display. Once the styling CURLER reaches the required temperature, the temperature display stops flashing and is on continuously.

If you touch the temperature selection (4) and move it from a higher to a lower setting, the corresponding temperature will flash on the LED display. The temperature display will light continuously once the plates have reached the required temperature.

3.5 Lock Setting
The temperature setting is locked automatically 5 seconds after the required temperature has been set. This means that the temperature setting cannot be changed once the device is in use. If you want to change the temperature setting, simply press and hold the +/- button for 2 seconds to unlock the temperature setting.
