Introduction
- Many GM Owners are looking for an easy and effective way of connecting and listening to portable audio devices on the factory radio.
- Connecting an auxiliary adapter to most GMs usually requires disconnecting the factory CD changer.
- The DCS-GM2 connects to the pre-wired 10-pin plug located in the trunk/hatch/armrest/glove box etc. and the CD Changer (if present) must be disconnected, but with the storage capacity of most portable devices, sacrificing the CD changer should be an easy decision.

- If the vehicle is equipped with a CD changer, disconnect the factory 10-pin plug from the changer (See. Fig. 1) CD changer remains disconnected and will no longer function
- Connect the factory 10-pin “CD” plug to the 10-pin connector on the install harness (See Fig. 2)
- Connect one end of the supplied 3.5mm audio cable (See Fig. 3) to the adapter jack (See Fig. 4.)
- Route audio cable to a dashboard or wherever the audio device will reside (within 8 ft.)
- Secure the adapter and proceed to the next step.
Operation
- Turn radio “ON”
- Press: the” AUX” or “SOURCE” button on the radio to enter AUX mode
- Note: If the radio displays Err or does not remain in “CD” mode, please reset radio by disconnecting the car battery for 2-5 minutes and try again. If the radio continues to Err, please contact us.
- Connect 3.5mm audio cable to device 3.5mm jack (See Fig. 5) – iPod not included.
- Search the audio device for a test tack and press play.
- Use the radio volume button to set the playback level. Ensure the audio device volume is 89% or better.
