Requirement
Compatible with 1995-2005 BUICK, Cadillac, and OLDSMOBILE vehicles with a 10-pin CD plug.
Introduction
The module connects to the 10-pin plug reserved for an optional CD changer in a remote area. If the vehicle does not have a 10-pin plug, consider purchasing our A2D-GM32 and installing it on the radio.
Installation (to 10-pin CD plug)
- Locate the factory 10-pin plug in the remote area.
- Connect the factory 10-pin plug to the installation harness 10-pin socket.
- Connect/Tap the red wire to the 12V ACC (Accessory) supply in the vehicle.
Pairing
The pairing process varies among devices but the basic steps are the same.
Follow these steps upon initial installation:
- Turn the Ignition and radio ON.
- Blue LED through the peephole will flash (pairing mode).
- On an A2DP device: go to Settings, Wireless & Networks, Bluetooth Settings, and enable Bluetooth (if not already).
- Select Bluetooth settings.
- Tap Scan for devices.
- Wait for the Bluetooth device name to appear and select it.
Optional Remote Control
Purchase the optional Bluetooth wireless remote to control music apps while keeping your eyes on the road. The remote allows users to:
- Control music wirelessly.
- Activate Phone commands (Google Play) — Not for Siri.
- Track up/down.
- Volume up/down.
Operation
- Turn ignition/radio ON.
- Press the SOURCE button on the radio.
- Launch a Smartphone or tablet streaming application.
- Use the radio volume control button to set the playback level.
Note: Playlist and Track selection is NOT possible from the radio. Use the smart device’s built-in controls, touch screen, or optional remote control to access and control audio files.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What should I do if my streaming becomes intermittent?
A: If streaming becomes intermittent, especially while driving or when using other accessories, find an alternate 12V ACC circuit with no other devices drawing from it. Also, ensure that the smart device volume is not set too high to prevent clipping.

Introduction
- Many Buick, Cadillac & Oldsmobile owners will be pleased to know they can upgrade to music steaming without changing the radio.
- The BLU-GM2 Bluetooth music module works on CD changer controlling radios (SOURCE button) and replaces the CD changer (if present). A wireless connection means no wires, clutter or complicated setup.
- All the user has to do is connect the module to the 10-pin plug reserved for the factory CD changer (must have 10-pin plug), pair a Smartphone, Tablet, etc., and enjoy tons of applications including Pandora, Apple Music, GPS and more on car stereo.

- If a vehicle does not have the 10-pin plug, purchase our A2D-GM32 instead and install it on the radio.
- Please verify vehicle has a required 10-pin plug (See Fig. 1) before ordering.
Installation (to 10-pin CD plug)
- Locate the factory 10-pin plug in a remote area (e.g., armrest, glovebox, hatch, trunk, etc.)
- Note: The CD changer (if present) must be disconnected and will no longer function.
- Connect factory 10-pin plug (See Fig. 1) to installation harness 10-pin socket (white) (See Fig. 2 & 3)
- Connect/Tap the red wire to the 12V ACC (Accessory) supply in the vehicle.
- Accessory supply available when ignition key is in ACC position or beyond. Avoid connecting the red wire to the battery supply (always on). Noteworthy: If streaming becomes intermittent (especially while driving) or when headlights, wipers, defroster, A/C, and other accessories are turned on; the ACC circuit used to power the module is being drawn down causing it to turn on/off intermittently. To resolve find an alternate 12V ACC circuit and preferably one that has no other devices drawing from it.
- Also, on rare instances when the smart device volume is set too high, clipping” may occur and as a result, the module will un-pair/pair intermittently. To resolve this, a slightly lower volume on an audio device.

Frequently asked questions
- My radio has a “Source” button but does not have a 10-pin plug. Will the BLU-GM2 work?
- NO! For the BLU-GM2 to work, a vehicle must be wired with a 10-pin plug usually reserved for an optional CD changer. See our A2D-GM32 instead.
- My vehicle has a CD changer, will it continue to work after installing the BLU-GM2?
- NO; the BLU-GM2 replaces the CD changer (the changer must be disconnected and will no longer function). Purchase our A2D-GM2 for both streaming and CD changer retention.
Does removing the BLU-GM2 cause any troubles with vehicle wiring?
NO, the BLU-GM2 does not interfere with factory wiring integrity. Once disconnected the system will function as it did prior
How is sound quality?
Sound quality is very good and without static or interference provided the vehicle's electrical system is up to standards.
Can I use the BLU-GM2 to make receive phone calls?
NO; supports Bluetooth music streaming (NOT for Hands-Fee calls).
What happens if the phone rings while streaming?
The radio will mute. The user may take the call using a handset (as customary). Once call ends, streaming resumes automatically
Pressing the “Source” button on the radio does nothing. Is this module faulty?
These modules are built to order and tested before shipping. If pressing
Source” button multiple times does not switch the radio to “CD” mode, please
disconnect the car battery for 2-5 minutes and try again.
