BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
- Before using your appliance for the first time, wipe off all removable parts with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive products.
- Install the handles with the supplied screws by fixing the screws to the bottom of the Table Chef.
- Use a blanket underneath the grill to avoid scratches when attaching the handles.
- After the handles are mounted, place the supplied thermostat in the connection of the Table Chef.
- Do not turn on the baking plate when the handles are not yet mounted on the item.
- When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odour will occur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This smell is only temporary and will soon fade.
- We advise to place a heat resistant layer between your table and the appliance (this way you don’t get burn marks on your table or table cloth).
USE
- Insert the thermostat in the Table Chef and put the power cable into the socket.
- Turn the thermostat clockwise to the highest setting and allow the device heating at least 5 minutes without food.
- Place the device in a well ventilated space.
- Use little to no oil for this appliance.
- Use the temperature knob on the thermostat to choose the desired temperature.
- The thermostat regulates a constant temperature. During cooking the indicator light will go on and off, this is normal, the temperature is constantly adjusting.
- Never use sharp objects on the baking plate, this will damage the glazing layer.
- It is possible that the device can produce some sound while operating, this is normal.
- The product can give a ticking sound during warm-up and cooling. This has no influence on the functioning and safety of the product.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.
- Combine three parts baking soda with one part water. A paste will form. Generously apply the paste on the glazed pizza stone. lt should be thick enough to coat fully.
- Leave the mixture for a few hours or overnight. Add more baking soda and scrub with a non-abrasive nylon brush or sponge.
- Rinse, clean and dry.
- Make sure the stone is fully dry before reuse.
