Pre Installation Steps
- Please turn off your pinball and remove the glass.
- If you have artblades or mirror blades we strongly advise you use artblade protectors to ensure your inner walls are not scratched by lifting the playfield.
- Please remove all balls from the pinball machine

Mod Installation Steps
Remove old plastic
- Undo the 2 nylock nuts on top and remove.
- Remove the ball bumper post from the plastic and set aside for later.
Remove old screws above playfield
Refer to the top left hand picture. There are 4 screws that have been numbered.
- Remove stud post (1) and replace it with the new larger supplied stud 530-008-00. Store the old one with your pinball parts or in the coin box (you won’t be needing it again). Keep the red post plastic around the new stud post.
- Remove screw (2) and set aside. You will need this later.
- Remove screw (3) and keep both it and the red plastic and rubber. You will need this later.
- Screw (4) stays. Please remove any washers above or below the red plastic post (store the washers with your parts).
You should now have your VUK above the playfield matching the bottom left image.
Unplug & Remove VUK
- Lift the playfield (make sure balls are removed and sides protected).
- Disconnect the electrical connector with the 5 wires going to the switch and solenoid, on the VUK bracket.
- Undo the hex wood screw as shown.
- Remove the VUK.
Move Solenoid & Switch to Replacement VUK
- Loosen the small hex screws from the VUK, just enough so you can remove the switch with the screws and metal plate.
- Transfer the switch to the new VUK and tighten screws firmly.
- Remove the phillips head screws on the back of the VUK.
- Remove the complete solenoid mechanism and loose bracket and insert into the new VUK bracket, making sure that the coil sleeve fits into the fixed bracket in the new VUK as shown.
- Attach to new bracket with the 2 phillips head screws.
- Remove the rubber bumper from the old VUK and insert a pthe bottom of the new VUK.
- Your new and old VUK should look like the images (your new VUK will have a longer bit at the t9p_. The longer bit on your new VUK protects the side of the playfield)
Install New VUK
- Reinstall the new VUK underneath with the hex screw and reattach the connector.
- Lower the playfield.
- Reinstall hex bolt in their original position (2).
- Move bounce post from plastic to metal plate, as shown.
Install Metal Plate
- Take the 2 ½” machine screw and insert into metal plate (6 o’clock position).
- Thread the black spacer and the red plastic post underneath.
- Place the plate with the threaded screw into the empty screw hole in the playfield.
- The playfield posts will pop up through the holes at 4 and 10 o’clock.
- Attach the existing size 6 nylock nut to the post at the 4 o’clock position.
Install Wireform
- Take the new wireform and place it as shown.
- Holding the ½” allen key head screw underneath, place the #8 washer and finger tighten the #8 nylock nut.
- Add the remaining washer and nylock nut to the stud post.
- Tighten both nuts just enough to still be able to adjust the wireform.
- You should have no part of the wireform obstructing the VUK hole underneath.
- The wireform end should sit perpendicular to the existing wireform underneath.
- An easy guide is the right top long prong should sit above the cross brace on the wire form underneath as shown.
Once you are happy with the positioning, tighten the nuts so the wireform is firmly attached. The top nut will require you to hold an allen key to bolt underneath.
Turn Down Left VUK Eject Power
-
Go into the service menu to turn down the VUK eject power.
-
Select :
- -> Adjustments
- -> Feature Adjustments
-
For Pro: Feature Adjustment #6
or -
For Premium/LE: Feature Adjustment #8
- You will need to turn it down so it does not smack the ball into the standard left return wire form below.
- Don’t turn it down too low or else it may not be. strong enough to travel up the new wire form.
- A power setting of 12 appears to work well put that can vary from machine to machine.
- Please test and adjust as required.
