Following the recent release of VESDA-E VEP, VEU and VES range of Aspirating Smoke Detectors (ASD) that are fully compliant with the UL268 7th Edition, Xtralis is taking the opportunity to discontinue the UL268 6th Edition SKUs and replace them with the 7th Edition ones.

Notes:
- UL268 7th Edition detectors are electrically compatible via networking (VESDAnet). However, pipe designs will need to be reviewed with ASPIRE to the UL268 7th Edition standard to ensure you meet the new standards’ transport times.
- The VEA UL 268 6th Edition detectors will no longer have the UL mark. A separate communication for the VEA UL 268 7th Edition compliant detectors will sent when the detectors are available.
Last Time Buy (LTB) & Last Shipment Date (LSD)
- LTB orders for UL268 6th Edition shall be placed by 30 April 2024.
- LSD for UL268 6th Edition will be 15 June 2024.
Spares, Repairs and Upgrades
- All spare parts remain the same with the exception of the ultrasonics flow sensing manifold (further information will be provided in due course). All spare parts’ availability is according to Honeywell EOL internal policy.
- Following Last Time Buy (LTB), there will be a further 2-year supply of spares and repair service subject to component availability & FG production within 30th June 2024. Product documentation (e.g. Product Guide/User Manual) will be available through the website.
Product Warranty
Standard product warranty will be honored as per the applicable company policy for the relevant product line. A product failing within the standard warranty period will be repaired or replaced with the same or comparable product having the balance of the original warranty period.
