Product Usage Instructions

  1. TWS Mode: To use the wireless stereo mode, you need to pair two BTS850 speakers.
  2. Safety Precautions: Always turn off the device when not in use. Avoid placing the device near heating sources or direct sunlight. While the device is water-resistant, do not submerge it in water.
  3. Cleaning and Maintenance: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the external surfaces of the device. Do not open the housing of the device as there are no user-serviceable parts inside.

First Time Setup and Operation

  1. Ensure both BTS850 speakers are not connected to any other devices via Bluetooth before activating the TWS function.
  2. To avoid hearing damage, limit exposure to high volume levels.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Issue: Unable to connect to the speaker.
    • Possible Cause: Bluetooth on your phone is turned off. Your phone does not support A2DP transmission.
    • Solution: Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and ensure it supports A2DP transmission. Also, make sure no other Bluetooth devices are connected. If the issue persists, try resetting the device by holding the Power button.
  • Issue: No sound or playback issues.
    • Possible Cause: The memory card used exceeds 32GB.
    • Solution: Use a memory card within the supported capacity as mentioned in the user manual. Ensure proper playback device compatibility.

SAFETY CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS

  1. Do not open the housing of the device. There are no user replace- able parts inside. Repair should be ordered from a service centre, which will be indicated by the manufac- turer.
  2. Turn the device off, while not in use.
  3. Do not place the device in the imme- diate vicinity of heating devices. Do not expose the device to direct sunlight.
  4. Although the device is waterproof, do not immerse it in water.
  5. To clean the external surfaces of the device use a soft, clean cloth. Never use detergents or chemicals.
  6. The manual is only a guide for the user, not a configuration criterion.
  7. Use only the accessories specified by the manufacturer.

FIRST LAUNCH AND SERVICE

  1. Starting up the device
    To start the device, hold down the button. Each time you start the device, the speaker will turn on in Bluetooth mode.

  2. Bluetooth mode

  3. Switch the speaker to Bluetooth mode by pressing the * button.

  4. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and search for nearby devices. The BTS850 speaker will appear in the list of devices available for pairing, select the speaker from the list. Once the devices connect, the speaker plays

  5. Device paired”, and the blue LED informing about the connection of the device with the speaker stops flashing and lights up permanently.

  6. When restarted, the speaker will connect to the last paired device automatically. A long press of the button will disconnect the current Bluetooth connection between the paired devices. The speaker will communicate the loss of connection playing „Device disconnected”. After this message, the speaker can be paired with another device.

  7. FM (radio) mode
    When using the FM mode, it is recommended to connect the audio cable included in the kit, which will act as an antenna.

  8. To enter the „FM” mode, press the , button, you will hear the message „FM radio mode”.

  9. Hold down the button until the speaker starts scanning for available radio frequencies. When the speaker finishes scanning, it will stop at one of them. You can also manually end the scan by pressing the > Il button again. To switch between the frequencies found, hold down the „t” or „” buttons.

  10. To increase or decrease the volume of the sound, tap the „t” or „” buttons.

  11. Music playback using USB port and external storage
    Insert the external disc with the music for playback. Press the button until the speaker enters playback mode from the external storage medium. The speaker will communicate entering USB mode by playing the „USB mode” message and start playing songs from the storage medium.
    NOTE: THE DEVICE SUPPORTS EXTERNAL STORAGE MEDIA WITH A MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF UP TO 32GB AND THE FOLLOWING AUDIO FORMATS: MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC.

  12. AUX Mode

    • Use a 3.5mm AUX cable to connect to the desired music source (PC, MP3/MP4 player, phone) and press the O button to enter AUX mode. The speaker communicates the connection of devices playing the „AUX in” message.
    • The speaker will play music from the connected device.
  13. POWER BANK function
    Connect the speaker and the other device you want to charge with a USB cable. When the speaker charges the external device, the green LED lights up under the USB port.

  14. The smart power saving function
    The speaker will automatically turn off in the following cases:

  15. If after pairing, the device will not be used for 10 minutes.

  16. If you do not perform any action after stopping play- back in any mode for 10 minutes, the device will turn off automatically.

  17. TWS function (pairing two speakers)

    • The TWS function only works in BLUETOOTH mode.
    • To pair two BTS850 speakers, make sure that the speakers are turned on and in Bluetooth mode.
  18. Press the pairing button on one of the speakers to enter TWS mode, then press the pairing button on the other device.

    • After pairing the two speakers, the TWS indicators will stop flashing and light up permanently.
    • Once you connect your phone to a speaker, you can play music wirelessly on both speakers.
  19. Disconnecting speakers
    To disconnect the TWS function, short press the . button. If you want to clear the TWS pairing memory, hold down the said button for a longer time.

CAUTION!

  1. Two BTS850 speakers are required to use the TWS function.
  2. Before starting the TWS function, both speakers cannot be connected to other devices via Bluetooth.

CAUTION!

  • The speaker can only connect to one device via Bluetooth. Nearby active Bluetooth devices may cause interference.
  • To avoid the risk of hearing damage, limit the high volume level operating time.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

For cleaning, use a damp cloth to wipe the outer casing of the soundbar. Do not tamper with the device housing to clean the product and do not use strong cleaning agents. The product is IPX6 resistant, yet it cannot be washed in the dishwasher or under running water in the sink.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS FOR A BLUETOOTH SPEAKER

  1. ART-DOM Sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Lódz (92-402) at ul. Zaktadowa 90/92 National Court Register Number 0000354059 (Guarantor) guaran- tees that the purchased device is free from physical defects. The warranty covers only defects resulting from the causes inherent in the item sold (manu- facturing defects).
  2. A disclosed defect will be removed at the Guarantor’s expense within 14 days from the date of reporting the damage to the authorized service or point of sale.
  3. In exceptional cases, e.g. the need to import spare
  4. parts from their manufacturer, the repair period may be extended up to 30 days. The warranty period for the user is 24 months from the date of delivery of the goods.
  5. The goods are intended for use only in the conditions of an individual household.
  6. The present warranty does not cover:
    • damage caused by using the device in a manner inconsistent with the user manual,
    • mechanical, chemical or thermal damage,
    • repairs and modifications made by companies or persons that were not authorized to do so by the manufacturer,
    • parts that are easy to use or consumables such as: batteries, bulbs, fuses, filters, knobs, shelves, accessories,
    • installation, maintenance, inspection, cleaning, unlocking, removal of contaminants and instruction.
  7. The Guarantor will select the mode of defect removal at its own discretion. Removal of a confirmed defect of the device will take place through warranty repair or replacement of the device. The Guarantor may perform repairs when the buyer requests replace- ment or the Guarantor may perform replacements when the buyer requests repair, if bringing the goods (device) into conformity in accordance with the granted warranty in the manner selected by the buyer is impossible or would require excessive costs at the part of Guarantor. In particularly justified cases, if both repair and replacement are impossible or would require excessive costs for the Guarantor, the Guarantor may refuse to bring the goods into compliance with the granted warranty and propose another way to settle the warranty claim.
  8. The exchange of goods is made at the point of sale at which the goods were purchased (replacement or refund) or an authorized service point, if it offers such service (replacement). The returned device must be complete, without mechanical damage. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in failure to accept the warranty claim.
  9. In the event of non-compliance of the goods with the sales contract, the buyer is entitled by law to legal protection measures on the part and at the expense of the seller, and the warranty does not affect these legal protection measures.
  10. The warranty is valid in Poland.
  11. The condition for the warranty repair or replacement of the device is the presentation of proof of purchase and the use of the goods in accordance with the information contained in the user manual.
    CAUTION!
    Damage or removal of the rating plate from the device may result in warranty being deemed void.
