MAINTENANCE
This appliance is designed for household use and is virtually maintenance
free. No lubrication is needed. Keep external surfaces clean and free of dust,
dirt and hair spray. If cleaning is necessary, disconnect the appliance from
the power source and wipe exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes

yourself. This appliance has no user serviceable parts.
STORAGE
When not in use, “unplug it.” Allow the appliance to cool and store out of
reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the
appliance since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle
cord carefully for longer life and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting or
straining cord, especially at plug connections.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- This appliance is equipped with a thermostat that may cycle OFF if the temperature exceeds comfort level due to partially blocked air inlet or air outlet openings. In the event that the appliance stops during use, turn off the switches and allow the appliance to cool down, at which time the them1ostat will automatically reset. During use, do not block the air openings. When using this appliance near water (e.g., bathrooms), the use of an electric outlet protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter is recommended.
- This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, the plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit in securely, reverse the plug or contact a qualified electrician.
- Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. If this unit shuts itself off, first press the reset button on the APPLIANCE LEAKAGE CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER (ALCI). Periodically check the safety plug to verify it is in proper working order. Plug the appliance in an electrical outlet and press the test button. The dryer should stop immediately. To resume operation, press the reset button. In the event the test button does not work properly, return the appliance to a se,vice center or the manufacturer.
- The wattage of the dryer may vary depending upon voltage and usage.
DRYING TIPS
- Gently towel dry hair to remove excess water.
- Set dryer on highest setting and speed. With head forward, flip hair over and dry the under layers first.
- Do not concentrate airHow on any one area for an extended period time.
- When hair is almost dry, lower heat and speed setting and begin to style hair as desired. Once you’ve achieved the desired style, click the cool shot button to set the style with a burst of cool air. Click the button when finished to go back to hot air styling.
- When drying is complete, wait for the appliance to cool before s1oring. Do not wrap the cord around the dryer. Use the practical hanging ring. This keeps the cord from tangling and wearing prematurely.
- By concentrating the airflow, individual sections of the hair can be styled. To attach, simply press concentrator into air outlet until it snaps into place. To remove, allow dryer and attachment to cool, and then gently pull away from dryer.
