Frequently Asked Questions
Is the coaxial cable included or is it available separately?****
It includes a coaxial cable on its own that is terminated with an F-Type, 75
Ohm connection.
A 2-wire to F-Type push-on (also known as non-threaded) connector adapter is
also included with the antenna.
How is the plug constructed?****
It connects to my FM+ ant with a clip-over male plug.
My stereo setup is a Panasonic SA-PM313 CD player. It has a female 75 ohm connection. Can this product be used? Thanks!****
Yes. A male “F” connector is used to terminate the Terk’s 6 foot 75 ohm cable. For your Panasonic, ideal ENJOY!!
I reside above a mountain. Within 70 miles are three sizable cities. Do you think this antenna will be effective?****
Although 70 miles is a distance, it is worthwhile to try. You might need to use an outside or boosted antenna.
Will this work with a Panasonic SA-PM53?****
The Panasonic SA-533 that I own is essentially the same device. Simply choose the appropriate adapter, and it will fit into the antenna port on the rear without any issues.
Will this function in a hospital? I’m not sure why, but the reception is terrible there. It could be because of the other gadgets, steel structures, trees, or other factors.****
Anywhere there are transmissions, this antenna will operate.
I have two inputs for friction wire connectors. Does it function or do I require a coax connection?****
One of the two connectors in the advertisement must be used to connect to the antenna. I’m not sure if you could attach friction connections to the cables for the bottom one.
What is the spectrum?****
The range is comparable to that achieved with a rabbit ear antenna.
Can it improve the signal of a mobile FM radio? Does it also need a power source?****
The FM gadget is indeed connected. It lacks a power source. I don’t think it makes the signal stronger.
I’m here. How does it function? Is it simply plugged into the wall? Will it improve cellphone FM radio reception?****
When you plug in the radio, a cell phone cannot be used.
My radio has a single antenna cable going from it.
Will this function?****
Thanks for asking. Hello, this antenna performs much better than wire ones in terms of reception and clarity.
Will the pull-up antenna on my round Sony radio/CD player work with this model of radio?****
If your radio has an optional antenna input, it will function. It is not compatible with the common pull-up antenna.
