How do you clean it?
Here are the directions for cleaning the ear dryer and ear tips. DO NOT IMMERSE Ear Dryer in water. Earpieces should be cleaned after each use, especially if you have an ear infection. To clean the earpiece, first remove it from the unit. Wipe down with warm, soapy water or rubbing alcohol. Rinse and dry. To clean the Ear Dryer, remove batteries from unit. Use a lightly dampened (not soaked) washcloth with mild soap or rubbing alcohol. DO NOT use strong detergents or industrial chemicals. Make sure no water or moisture enters the Ear Dryer openings (battery cover, earpiece hole, air intake vent, etc.) as it may damage the unit. Wipe dry with clean towel.
Will this product work for children 10 and under?
Yes, it will work fine. The earpiece is flexible silicone and will fit in small ear canals.
How loud is it?

Yes, our Mack’s® Ear Dryer can be used on a child, under adult supervision. My toddlers love to swim. They have been using the ear dryer since they were 2 years old and have had no ear water issues since then.
How do you know when the ears are dry?
I’m happy to help. Early in the drying cycle, you may feel a cooling sensation in your ear. A warm, soothing sensation will take over as the drying cycle completes.

Would this product dry fluid trapped behind eardrum?
Mack’s Ear Dryer is designed to dry the ear canal or “outer ear” (the area from the ear drum out). The inner, or middle ear, is sealed by the ear drum (tympanic membrane) unless some kind of unusual circumstance exists (like in the case of trauma or surgery). So no, the ear dryer is not designed to dry the “sealed” inner ear, which is generally not accessible via the outer ear canal. When deemed medically necessary, inner ear fluid problems are typically treated with medications and/or surgically inserted ear tubes.
Does this dry or suck water out that is stuck in your ear?
This product will naturally dry your ears with warm, soothing air. Please do not confuse this ear dryer device with other poor performing devices designed to vacuum water or wax from your ears. They are completely different.
Does this product work with Energizer rechargeable batteries?
Rechargeable batteries will work, but we don’t recommend them as performance may suffer. Rechargeable 1.2V NiCd and NiMH batteries will work, but with slightly reduced performance, because of the 20% lower voltage (1.2 volt) than the recommended 1.5V batteries.
