DIVIDER BAR INSTALLATION
*Divider Bar Installation (Only for 74” and 86” Tri-channels):
Note: if you are using a 48” or 60” Tri-channel please skip these steps
and proceed to page 8 “Lid Installation” portion of these instructions.
Note:** The lid assembly for both the 74” and 86” Tri-Channels is long
enough to cover seven 1/6 size food pans of the protein section.
INSTALLATION
– LID RIGHT SIDE 74” OR 86”

Find the divider bar and determine which side of the tri-channel you would like covered. Remove the cutting boards. Slide the front tab of the divider bar underneath the hinge extrusion of the existing day cover then install it accordingly using the two-center cutting board locating pins. (Example below is of a 74” tri-channel to cover the right side of the Tri-Channel.)

Once the divider bar is properly placed re-install the cutting board over the top of the divider bar.

Install the flat lock handle included in the hardware bag onto the welded post of the divider bar using the supplied shoulder bolt, thread lock, and 1/8” Allen wrench (using thread lock is crucial to making sure the shoulder bolt remains tight during operation.)
NOTE: The lock handle should be installed onto the same side of the post that the lid will be installed.
– LID LEFT SIDE 74” OR 86”

Find the divider bar and determine which side of the tri-channel you would like covered. Remove the cutting boards. Slide the front tab of the divider bar underneath the hinge extrusion of the existing day cover then install it accordingly using the two-center cutting board locating pins. (Example below is of a 74” tri-channel to cover the left side of the Tri-Channel.)

Once the divider bar is properly placed re-install the cutting board over the top of the divider bar.

LID INSTALLATION 48” OR 60”
Lid Installation:

Identify which cold pan will be holding all the proteins (meat/cheese) and will be utilizing the protein lid. Remove the two bolts holding the rear of the Clearview day cover on each side to the countertop of the cold pan using the supplied socket wrench and 7/16 socket. Save the hardware that was removed.

Install the correct lock handle assemblies on each side of the day cover utilizing the same hardware removed from step 1.
NOTE: The open side of the slot/notch should be facing down as shown in the image below.

Rotate the lock handle towards the unit’s rear and out of the way to make room for lid installation.

Before removing the lid assembly from the box rotate the lid to the locked position using the handle.

Lift the lid onto the countertop so that the flanges rest inside the countertop recess. The lid will have to be lifted over the top of the previously installed locking handles.
Caution: This step may require two people.

Slide the lid all the way toward the glass until the long flange of the lid contacts the lip on the frontside of the countertop recess and cannot be pushed any further forward. The side flanges on the outside of the lid should now be resting underneath the dampers of the Clearview day cover.

Once the lid is pushed into place rotate the locking handles on each side, so they snap over the top of the larger shoulder bolt. This will prevent the lid from sliding back and forth during operation. Note: If the slot of the locking handle cannot snap over the top of the shoulder bolt, then the lid needs to be moved forward or backwards.
LID OPERATION
Lid Operation:
Open, Close & Locking Functions:

Start with the lid in the open/locked position. To close the lid the operator must first lift the locking latch located on the right side of the lid before pulling the lid downward.
Do NOT attempt to close the lid with
the locking latch still engaged. Doing so could result in damage.
This locking latch is a critical safety
feature which prevents the lid from accidentally falling or closing on an
operator.
Do NOT remove this latch at any time. Doing so could result in injury.

To open the lid, lift up on the lid handle until the it runs out of travel and the locking latch automatically engages. This latch uses gravity to “fall” into the engaged position at the end of its travel. If the locking latch does not automatically engage, please check the system to make sure everything is properly installed and there is no damage.
NOTE: Lid should lift/rotate easily with little resistance. If it feels like there is resistance, check the system to make sure all hardware is properly secured and there is no damage.
Lid Removal:
- To remove the lid from the tri-channel for cleaning or service, simply repeat steps 3-7 in the installation instructions but in reverse order.
GENERAL CLEANING:
- Always clean equipment thoroughly before first use. Clean unit daily, using warm, soapy water or mild detergent.
- This lid is constructed using all stainless-steel components. It is recommended is use warm, soapy water for cleaning.
- A plastic scouring pad and a mild detergent may be used to remove hardened food.
Do not ever use steel wool, any highly
caustic cleaners, acids or ammonia. These may cause corrosion and/or damage to
the stainless steel and void any warranty.
