Installation Notice & Attenuations
How It Works: Cellphone Signal Booster DIY Kit is a set of easy-to-

home.
It amplifies weak, distant cell tower signals and directs them indoors,
greatly improving the quality of indoor cellphone calls and Internet access.

Installation Prectiauons:
- In order to get the best reception, please read the following notes and instructions for STEP A, B, C and D before installation. All key points and notes for the installation can be divided into 3 categories:
- Distance, position and orientation for the installation of outdoor and indoor antennas.
- Installation of connectors, adapters, and coaxial cables.
- About Tune the outdoor and/or Indoor antenna for best reception and Power on/Reset the booster.
During testing or regular use, the LED indicators will stay either red or
green when the booster operates normally.
Of the 4 LED lights, some may remain red and some may remain green.
LED indicators blinking red or green indicate an abnormality. Please refer
to Abnormal LED Light Status & Troubleshooting on page 13, 14 and conduct
troubleshooting according to the instructions until the booster works
properly.
- Hold a cellphone and walk outside around the house slowly to find a location with the best reception. Alternatively, install the outdoor antenna toward the direction where a cell tower is known to be installed. This is the most important step in the installation process, as it will determine the reception quality and service coverage of cellphone calls and internet access when used indoors.
- Please keep the minimum space 20 ft vertical and/or 40 ft horizontal of the outdoor/indoor antennas clear so that the cellphone signal booster can work properly (see page 6).
- The outdoor antenna should be kept 6 ft away or 5 ft higher than windows. The outdoor and indoor antennas should be kept facing away or at an angle 90° to 180° from each other. Avoid placing the outdoor antenna facing the house or positioning the outdoor and indoor antennas in the same direction.
- Please maintain a suitable path for all coaxial cables:
- In a straight line_____
- Make smooth turns
- No sharp-angle turns
- Do not coil cables
- Do not cross the coaxial cables or paths connecting the outdoor and indoor antennas.
- The coaxial cable connecting the outdoor antenna needs to be kept in a U shape before entering the house so that rainwater will not flow into the house along the cable.
- In order to maintain the tidiness of the indoor environment, the coaxial cables connecting the outdoor and indoor antennas can be hidden above the ceiling or along the wall to the main unit.
- Check all outdoor and indoor antenna connectors, adapters, coaxial cable connectors, and main unit connectors, and fasten them by hand (without tools). Unfastened or loose connections will not improve the indoor reception.
- Do not power up the main unit yet. Wait until the brackets of the outdoor antenna are adequately fastened such that the antenna can still be rotated, and the position/ orientation of the indoor antenna should be secured before performing Step D Find best reception. Then, power up the booster while adjusting the outdoor antenna.
Perform Step C-LED light status indication to confirm and adjust the reception results of the installation, or as the basis for Abnormal LED light status & troubleshooting (page 13 and 14).
Whenever performing “Tune the outdoor and/or indoor antenna” steps in installation procedure or after long-term use, the main unit must be reset to ensure LED stay either red or green and that the booster works properly
Step A Installation of outdoor antenna
The outdoor antenna can be secured in the following different ways according
to the on-site installation.
A1 Use only securing brackets (must separately purchase the metal rods
with a diameter of 1.2 to 1.6 inches used for securing)
Note : The elevation angle of the outdoor antenna is adjusted to be
horizontal (0~10″ up tilt) if it is on a plain or in the suburbs and urban
areas.
Tilt the unit upwards in valleys, and downwards in hilly and highland areas.
A2 Secured on the outer wall with 3D brackets that allow adjustment of
elevation and/or azimuth angle.
Note: Secure on wooden/concrete wall: Screw 1 inch high tensile screws, 4PCS Use electrical screwdriver fastening these high tesile screws to the wall.
