Product Usage Instructions

Initial Use

1. Do not attempt to charge the product in a hazardous environment.
2. Fully charge the XPR-5592 before the first use or if the battery is new or unused for several months.
3. Maximum charge time required is approximately 6-7 hours.

Daily Use

1. Do not charge the product in a hazardous environment.

Opening the Tripod Leg Set

• Fully unfold the tripod leg set and lock it into place by sliding the center collar down.

Closing the Tripod Leg Set

• Press the release button on the center collar to retract the tripod leg set.

Adjusting the Column Sections

• Unlock the cam lock lever for the desired section, adjust the height, and re-lock the lever to secure.

Removing the Light from the Tripod:

• Grasp the light’s handle and tripod stand simultaneously and pull apart to detach them.

Installing the Light onto the Tripod:

• Attach the light by placing the magnet onto the mounting plate and ensuring a secure fit.

WARNINGS – INTRINSICALLY SAFE

• WARNING: Use only the approved Nightstick 5592-BATT Lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack or the approved non-rechargeable batteries listed below.
• WARNING: To prevent ignition of a hazardous atmosphere, do not open the battery compartment or attempt to exchange any of the supplied battery packs while in the hazardous environment. This task must ONLY be performed in an area known to be non-hazardous.
• WARNING: To prevent ignition of a hazardous atmosphere, the approved Nightstick 5592-BATT Lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack must only be charged in an area known to be non-hazardous.
• WARNING: To reduce the risk of explosion, do not mix new non-rechargeable batteries with used non-rechargeable batteries, or mix non-rechargeable batteries from different manufacturers.
• WARNING: Substitution of components may impair intrinsic safety.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR INTRINSIC SAFETY

For personal safety, always confirm the rating of any known hazardous or potentially hazardous location where the light is to be used.

CAUTION

• Charger Input is 12 VDC Max
• Rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries must be used and charged properly. Improper use can result in serious injury, fire, or death.
• Do not leave the battery in direct sunlight or use or store the battery inside cars in hot weather.
• Do not expose the battery to water or salt water, or allow the battery to get wet.
• Do not store the battery with metallic objects that may cause a short circuit.
• Immediately discontinue use of the battery if the battery emits an unusual smell, feels hot, changes color, changes shape or appears abnormal in any way.
• Keep out of the reach of children.

INITIAL USE

Fully charge the XPR-5592 before the first use, or if the battery is new or has been unused for several months. The maximum charge time required is approximately 6-7 hours.

DAILY USE
WARNING: TO PREVENT IGNITION OF A HAZARDOUS ATMOSPHERE, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHARGE THIS PRODUCT IN THE HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENT. THIS TASK MUST ONLY BE PERFORMED IN AN AREA KNOWN TO BE NON-HAZARDOUS.

• Use only the supplied Nightstick AC or DC adapter. For best performance, charge the XPR-5592 when the light starts to dim.
• Connect the AC or DC adapter into the bottom of the light.
• The total time to full charge the XPR-5592 varies depending on the remaining charge in the battery pack.
• For the light to be waterproof, the charging port must be well covered by the screw cap. (Image 1)

OPERATION

CAUTION: BECAUSE THE XPR-5592 HAS A MAGNETIC BASE, IT IS LIKELY THAT IT WILL BE PLACED IN AN ELEVATED POSITION ABOVE THE GROUND. THEREFORE CAUTION SHOULD BE USED TO BE CERTAIN THAT THE MAGNET IS SECURELY ATTACHED TO THE METAL SURFACE BEFORE RELEASING THE LIGHT. IT IS ALSO ADVISED THAT EXTRA CARE BE TAKEN WHEN ADJUSTING OR MOVING THE CORD SO THAT THE WORK LIGHT DOES NOT COME LOOSE AND FALL TO THE GROUND.
The XPR-5592 has a single three-position toggle switch with black boot. Operation as seen from the back of the light:

• Center position: Off
• Right position: High-brightness
• Left position: Low-brightness

SETTING UP THE WORK LIGHT ON A TRIPOD

Opening the tripod leg set

Fully unfold the tripod leg set and slide the center collar down until it locks into place.
WARNING: Do NOT attempt to use the tripod leg set unless the legs are fully extended and locked into place. This is the ONLY position that the leg set can be used in.

Closing the tripod leg set
Press the release button on the side of the center collar and then raise the center collar up until the tripod leg set is fully retracted.

Adjusting the column sections
The tripod has two adjustable sections of the column that can be used to customize the working height of the work light. Each section is locked into place by means of a cam lock lever. (Image 2) To adjust the height of either section, release the cam lock lever for that section, extend the column to the desired length and re-lock the cam lock lever.

Removing the light from the tripod
The product is designed so that the light can be removed from the tripod. To remove the light, grasp the lights handle with one hand, and grasp the top of the tripod stand with the other hand a pull the magnet apart from the mounting plate.

Installing the light onto the tripod
CAUTION: Before installing the light on to the tripod, be certain that the leg set is fully extended and locked in place and that both of the two column cam lock levers are securely locked.
To install the light head on to the tripod, simply line up the light heads magnetic base with the tripods mounting plate (Image 3) allowing the magnet to secure itself to mounting plate. Be sure place the light head directly onto the center of the mounting plate so that the light head is securely mounted.

Bayco Products, Inc. warrants this product to be free from defects in workmanship and materials to the original purchaser for 1 year from the date of purchase, and includes the LEDs, housing, lenses, electronics, switches, rechargeable batteries and chargers. Bulbs (other than LEDs) are covered for 90 days from the date of purchase.
We will repair or replace this product should we determine it to be defective. This is the only warranty, expressed or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
