Private Message Center
Welcome to Hushmail: A new user’s guide to Hushmail’s private message center
Your practitioner will communicate with you using Hushmail encrypted email to
protect your personal information. It’s easy to use and enables your
practitioner to comply with the HIPAA provisions requiring healthcare
providers to protect your health information.
You don’t need to pay for a Hushmail account to receive encrypted email and
respond securely.
Hushmail will handle all your online communications with your practitioner in
their private message center. However, there are a few things we’d like you to
know:
- You will receive a message in your inbox with a link to a secure web page. Be sure to click on that link so you can read your message. If you’re expecting a message that doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder.
- Once you click the link, you’ll be asked to sign in using an existing email account such as Google (Gmail), Apple, or Microsoft. If you don’t want to use an existing email account, you can create a password.
- You can read your practitioner’s emails and respond to them in the private message center, where your communications are encrypted and secure.
- You can write a new secure email to your practitioner using the “Compose” button on the top left of your message center screen.
- You can access your messages in an inbox that shows all new and past messages
