Basic ways to connect the microphone using the splitter:
If there’s just 1 3.5 mm 4-pin jack input in the computer, in order to be able to use the headphones and the microphone at the same time, there are two basic ways of connecting:

  1. Mad Dog GMC302 microphone (3.5 mm jack) + headphones without microphone (3.5 mm jack) –connect both sources to the splitter (green socket for headphones, red for microphone). The microphone cannot be connected to the headphone input directly in the headphones.
  2. Mad Dog GMC302 microphone (3.5 mm jack) + headphones with microphone (USB) – connect the microphone to the splitter (green headphone input), turn off USB audio recording in the sound settings and leave the default settings for the built-in sound card.

These changes are made in the control panel in the „Sound” section. After correctly connecting the microphone, go to Start -> Settings -> Sound, and then check whether the microphone records sound correctly.
