Installation Instructions for GII Cordless Luna 2-inch Vinyl Plantation Blind
STEP 1. Attach the Brackets
To install the end brackets, first determine where to attach each bracket.
If you are installing an outside-mount blind on a window (Fig. A), position
the bracket on the window frame or on the wall above the frame and attach with
the proper fasteners.
If installing outside-mount blind on a door (Fig. B), position the bracket
with a spacer block (not included) on the door above the glass panel and
attach with screws. The spacer block must be between the door and the bracket.
If installing inside-mount blind (Fig. C), position top of bracket against
inside surface of window frame and attach as shown. Each end bracket uses at
least two screws. Make sure end brackets are level.
For the blinds over 32″ wide and less than 45”wide, a center support bracket
will be provided. Blinds larger than 45”wide will have two center support
brackets provided. To install the support brackets
(Fig. D) center the support bracket between the two end brackets. Keep the top
and back of each support bracket level and aligned with the top and back of
the end brackets. If more than one support bracket is used, space the support
brackets evenly across the width of the headrail. Insert screws in the top for
an inside mount; insert screws in the back for an outside mount (Fig. D1).
STEP 2. Install the Headrail
Position one valance clip at each end of the headrail, and evenly space any
additional clips across the width of the headrail (Fig. E). Slide the headrail
into the end brackets and center support (Fig. F). Then close end bracket
covers until they click into place.
STEP 3. Install Valance
Your blind includes a valance (a slat). Put the valance under the upper clap
of each clip. Then bend and guide the entire valance into the bottom clamps.
(Fig G.)
STEP 4. Attach Hold-Down Brackets (Optional for Door only)
To install the hold-down brackets, lower the blind all the way down. Position
bracket close enough to the bottom rail so that the hold-down pin lines up
with the hole and the hold-down bracket (Fig. H). Attach the hold-down
brackets with screws. Insert the pins into the center of each side of the
bottom rail.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
To Tilt The Blind:
- Rotate the wand in either direction to fully open and close the slats to the desired angle.
To Lower and Raise The Blind:
- Tilt the slats to the fully open position first. (Parallel with headrail).
- Grasp bottom rail firmly on both sides evenly and pull down gently until reaching the desired length.
- To raise the blind, simply grasp both side of the bottom rail and raise slowly to desired position.
TROUBLE SHOOTING :
Problem/uneven bottom rail:
Pull the blind down evenly on both side and adjust both side when raising the blind up again.
