Ultrabond ECO 303
Floor-Repair Adhesive

DESCRIPTION

Ultrabond ECO® 303 is a proprietary water-based adhesive formulation designed to be injected under existing wood, tile or resilient fiooring to full hollow spots or areas that have become unbonded. •  Fixes hollow spots
  •  Secures loose flooring

WHERE TO USE

  •  For the repair of hollow spots and unbonded areas of installed wood, tile and resilient |oors

LIMITATIONS

  •  Do not install over any substrates containing asbestos.
  •  Use only when the substrate temperature is between 55°F and 100°F (13°C and 38°C).

SUITABLE SUBSTRATES

  •  Exterior-grade plywood and other approved wood underlayments (per the fiooring manufacturer’s recommendations)
  •  Concrete and cement terrazzo
  •  Existing ceramic tile
  •  Cement-based self-leveling underlayments and patching compounds
  • Properly primed gypsum underlayments that meet the requirements for compressive strength per ASTM F2419
  • Properly installed radiant-heating systems

Consult MAPEI’s Technical Services Department for installation recommendations regarding substrates and conditions not listed.

SURFACE PREPARATION

  • All substrates must be structurally sound, dry, solid and stable.

MIXING

Before product use, take appropriate safety precautions. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet for details.

  • This product is ready to use, with no mixing necessary.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

Read all installation instructions thoroughly before installation.

  1. Identify and locate the hollow spots in the floor by tapping with a wooden stick or broom handle.
  2. Drill a hole 1/8″ (3 mm) in diameter in the wood flooring, resilient flooring or grout line at each end of the unbonded area. Large hollow areas may require more holes. Vacuum up all debris from the drilled holes.
  3. Insert the cartridge into a suitable caulking gun, cut the tip and puncture the inner seal.
  4. Push the tip of the nozzle into each of the open holes and inject Ultrabond ECO 303 until it begins to ooze out of all holes, ensuring a complete fill of the hollow spot.
  5. Place a heavy weight on the repair surface and protect the area from foot traffic for 24 hours.
  6. After 24 hours, fill drill holes with an appropriately colored caulk, grout or wood patch.

CLEANUP
Immediately clean up any excess Ultrabond ECO 303 with a clean and damp white cotton cloth or microfiber towel while the adhesive is still fresh/wet. Dried residue will need to be removed by razor scraping or sanding.
