SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble or install the product.
  • Assemble on level ground.
  • Keep children away from the assembly area.
  • Two adults are required for safe assembly.
  • The water-fillable stands are quite heavy ( total 2001bs with 4 pieces) after filled with water, special attention is necessary.
  • In case you want to move the umbrella to a new place, please close the umbrella and move the stands off from the metal cross base first.

PREPARATION

  • Before beginning assembly of product make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with the package contents list.
  • If any part is missing or damaged do not attempt to assemble the product.
  • Estimated Assembly Time:30 Minutes

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Clean with mild soap and lukewarm water rinse and air dry.
  • When not in use, close and cover the umbrella with a protective cover.
  • The umbrella must be closed in windy weather to avoid any damage.
  • Store the product indoors in a cool and dry place.
  • Carefully check all packaging materials before discarding.
  • Do not assemble if there are missing pieces.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Step 1: Place the stand ( G) on a level ground where you intend to locate your umbrella. Open the cap on the top of the stand and fill the stand with water. Then tighten the cap.ABCCANOPY-11-Aluminum-Patio-Offset-Umbrella-FIG-3
    • The stand is quite heavy when filled with water (2201bs).
    • In case you want to move the stand, open the cap on the side of the stand and release the water first.
  2. Step 2: Attach the Base Pole ( B) on the Base ( G) with 4 bolts ( I ), 4 washers ( J ) and Allen Wrench ( K). Make sure not over tighten.ABCCANOPY-11-Aluminum-Patio-Offset-Umbrella-FIG-4
  3. Step 3: Place the Plastic Cover ( D & C ) on the stands ( G ) through the Base Pole ( B). Fix the Plastic Connector ( E) on the Base Pole ( B). Make sure to line up the hole of the connector with the lower hole on the Base Pole ( B).ABCCANOPY-11-Aluminum-Patio-Offset-Umbrella-FIG-5
  4. Step 4: Attach the Solar Panel ( M ) on the top of the Main Umbrella (A).ABCCANOPY-11-Aluminum-Patio-Offset-Umbrella-FIG-6
  5. Firmly, but carefully, connect the plug on the solar panel with the socket on the top of the umbrella. Do not pull on wires as doing so may permanently damage the connections.
  6. Align the notches on the solar panel with the grooves on the top of the umbrella, and hide the plug and wires inside the hollow space. Turn the solar clockwise to lock into place; do not over-tighten.
  7. Before the first use, ensure the solar panel receives at least 8 hours of direct sunlight to charge the batteries.
  *  **IMPORTANT:** The solar panel has a protective film to prevent damage during shipping. Remove the plastic film on the solar panel. Failure to remove the film will result in the solar panel not functioning properly.
  1. Step 5: Place the Main Umbrella (A) on top of the Base Pole ( B) and secure them with 2 bolts ( H ).ABCCANOPY-11-Aluminum-Patio-Offset-Umbrella-FIG-7
    • Important Notice:
    • Make sure 2 locking holes on the Main Umbrella (A) and 2 locking holes on the Base Pole ( B ) are on the same side and lined up perfectly.
    • The upper hole is covered by the glide handle. Lose the canopy and push the glide handle upward before fixing the upper bolt ( H ).
  2. Step 6: Insert 2 Crank Handles ( F) into the square holes on the glide handle and Base Pole ( B ).ABCCANOPY-11-Aluminum-Patio-Offset-Umbrella-FIG-8
  3. Step 7: To open the umbrella, squeeze the trigger and slide the glide handle up to a comfortable position, then release the trigger to lock it into place. Turn the Crank Handle ( F) clockwise to fully open the canopy as pictured. Slide the glide handle up or down to achieve the desired tilting angle.     • Caution: Push the canopy somewhat by hand as pictured when feeling resistance to slide up the glide handle.
  4. Step 8: Rotate the canopy with the Crank Handle ( F) on the Base Pole ( B).ABCCANOPY-11-Aluminum-Patio-Offset-Umbrella-FIG-10
    • Tips: The multi-position canopy can rotate 360 ° around the axis of the main pole to offer shade in your expected area around the umbrella.
  5. Step 9: Press the light switch to turn on/off the LED lights
  6. Step 10: When in winter or not in use, place the Umbrella Cover ( L) over the umbrella for storage.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

  • Change the batteries in the solar panel every year or when the light output is diminished.
  • Only install new batteries of the same type into the product;(3)’AA’Ni-MH 2000mAh rechargeable batteries.
  • Failure to insert batteries in the correct polarity, as indicated in the battery compartment, may shorten the life of the batteries or cause batteries to leak.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix Alkaline, Nickel Cadmium, or Lithium
  • rechargeable batteries.
  • Recycle batteries under local laws and regulations.
  • Tools required: Phillips screwdriver(not included)
  1. Twist the solar panel counterclockwise and gently lift the panel off the umbrella. Take care not to pull on the cords.
  2. Carefully disconnect the plug from the socket by pressing the tabs surrounding the connection point. Pull apart by holding the plug, never pull on the wires.
  3. Place the solar panel face-down on a soft, clean surface. Remove(3)screws from the bottom of the panel.
  4. Carefully lift the bottom of the panel, ensuring the wires remain intact. Gently remove the old batteries. Paying attention to the positive and negative terminals, insert new batteries.
  5. Carefully replace the bottom of the panel and align the screw holes. Secure the panel with the screws removed in step 3. Do not over-tighten the screws.
  • This product uses a rechargeable battery.
  • When the battery can no longer be used, it should be removed from the unit and recycled.
  • The battery must not be incinerated or composted.
  • Recycle the battery under local laws and regulations.
