Important Information about Atomic Clock:
The atomic clock receives radio signals from NIST radio station WWVB near Fort Collins, Colorado right only at 1:00 am, 2:00 am, 3:00 am, 4:00 am and 5:00 am to set the correct time automatically. Therefore, you may need to set the time manually when you first use the atomic clock.
Set the Time Manually:
First, confirm whether the flickering signal tower icon appears at the top right of the screen, if so, press the wave button to make the icon disappear, and then go to the next step of the settings, if not, go directly to the next step of the settings.
Step 1. Set the Time Zone: Press and hold the “SET” for 2 seconds to
enter setting mode, the Time Zone display will flash. Use the “UP“ or “Down”
button to select the correct Time Zone setting from the available able
selections below:
PST – Pacific Standard Time
MST – Mountain Standard Time
CST – Central Standard Time
EST – Eastern Standard Time
AST – Atlantic Time
HAT – Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time
AKT – Alaska Standard Time
Press the “SET” button to confirm.
Step 2. Set 12 or 24 Hour Time Mode: Use the “UP“ or “Down” button to set the time mode to either a 12 or 24 hour clock. Press the “SET” button to confirm.
Step 3. Set “Hour”: Use the “UP“ or “Down” button to set the correct hour. Press the “SET” button to confirm.
Step 4. Set “Minute”: Use the “UP“ or “Down” button to set the correct hour. Press the “SET” button to confirm.
Step 5. Set ”Year/Month/Date”: Use the “UP“ or “Down” button to set the correct date. Press the “SET” button to confirm.
Step 6. Set Daylight Saving Time(DST) ON/OFF: Use the “UP“ or “Down” button to choose. Press the “SET” button to confirm.
Notes:
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology and WWVB encode a special DST “bit” in the WWVB transmission for DST.
- This digital clock will read this information (only if “DST” is set to “On”) and automatically advance the time one hour in the spring and back an hour in the fall.
- Arizona and Indiana: If you live in an area that does not recognize DST you must de-activate Daylight Saving Time by setting “DST” to “OFF”)
Step 7. Set Language: Use the “UP“ or “Down” button to choose. Press the “SET” button to confirm.
Wireless Outdoor Temperature Sensor:
Positioning the Temperature Sensor:
The Sensor is supplied with a holder that may be attached to a wall with
screws or a rope.
- Mount in a sheltered place. Avoid direct rain and sunshine.
- Under the eaves of your home is an ideal place.
Notes:
- Before permanently fixing the Sensor, place all units in the desired locations to check that the outdoor temperature reading is receivable.
- If the signal is being received, the signal reception icon will be displayed on the Atomic Clock. In event that the signal is not received, relocate the Sensor or move it slightly as this may help the signal reception.
- To ensure a good connection, there should be no more than 200 feet between the final positions of the Atomic Clock and the Sensor.
- If the outdoor temperature does not display still, you can press and hold the WAVE button for 3 seconds until the signal reception icon appear to enter the RF reception manually, which will sync the outdoor thermometer within 1 minute.
About WWVB Radio Signal Reception:
The clock enters WWVB radio signal reception mode automatically each time when the battery is installed. The reception mode can also be entered manually by pressing the WAVE button in the standard clock mode. The clock receives the signal from Collins, Colorado right on 1:00 am, 2:00 am, 3:00 am, 4:00 am, 5:00 am in the morning every day to sync the time, it will stop time syncing in 7 minutes no matter the time is synced or not.
Notes:
- The tower icon will be flashing when the clock is ready for receiving the WWVB radio signal. If the signal is weak or cannot be recognized correctly by the clock, the tower icon keeps flash for 7 minutes and disappear.
- When the signal is been receiving, the tower icon is stationary, and the antenna icon will be flashing. When the signal is successfully received and time synced, the icon will be displayed still.
- When the DST signal is received, the DST icon will be displayed.
- The signal level will be reduced, and the clock might not be able to sync if the clock is near a source of interference (like a computer monitor) or the clock is in a building with a metal roof. Please remove the clock from the interference sources and/or rotate it 90 degrees or mount it on a wall perpendicular to the one it is currently on.
Setting the Daily Alarms:
To set the alarm time – hour: Press and hold the “ALARM” button for 3
seconds until the hour digits flash. Use the “UP“ or “Down” button to set the
hour. Press the “ALARM” button to confirm your setting and move to set the
minute.
To set the alarm time – minutes: The Minutes digits of the Alarm Time
will flash. Use the “UP“ or “Down” button to set the minutes. Press the
“ALARM” button to confirm your minute setting and to end the setting
procedure.
To activate or deactivate the daily alarms: (When the alarm is active the
clock displays the alarm icon. When deactivated, the alarm icon does not
display)
- Press the “ALARM” button to enter Alarm Mode, press the “UP“ or “Down” button, to turn on/off the alarm.
- After 30 seconds without pressing any button the clock switches automatically from alarm setting mode to standard clock mode, or press Alarm button to enter standard clock mode manually.
- The alarm will sound for 2 minutes if not deactivated. You can deactivate it by pressing any button. The alarm will be repeated automatically after 24 hours.
Snooze function:
- While the alarm is sounding, press the “SNOOZE” button to activate the snooze function. The alarm icon flashes on the display until the alarm sounds again when the Snooze period is over (5 minutes).
- The Snooze function can be interrupted by pressing any button.
Power on and Battery Replacement:
The Atomic Clock and the Outdoor Sensor use 2 x AA batteries ( IEC LR6, 1.5V ).
To install and replace the batteries, please follow below steps:
- Position the Atomic Clock and the Outdoor Sensor five to six feet apart with nothing between them.
- Insert the batteries into the Atomic Digital Clock first, observing the correct polarity(see markings inside the battery compartment). Put on the compartment cover.
- Immediately after and within 3 minutes, insert the batteries into the Outdoor Sensor, observing the correct polarity (see markings inside the battery compartment). Put on the compartment cover.
The Low Battery Icons:
- When the batteries need to be replaced in the Wireless Outdoor Sensor, the LCD will display the “TX” icon.
- When the batteries need to be replaced in the Atomic Clock, the LCD will display the “RX” icon.
Note:
Each time the batteries are replaced, the clock setting will be restored so
you’ll need to go over the setting procedure again. If the remote sensor is
not connected, please press and hold WAVE button for 3 seconds to reconnect.

Extreme temperatures, vibration, and shock should be avoided as these may cause damage to the unit and give inaccurate readings.

Precautions shall be taken when handling the batteries. Injuries, burns, or property damage may result if the batteries are in contact with conducting materials, heat, corrosive materials, or explosives. The batteries shall be taken out from the unit before the product is to be stored for a long period of time.

Immediately remove all low-powered batteries to avoid leakage and damage. Replace only with new batteries of the recommended type.

When cleaning the display and casings, use a soft damp cloth only. Do not use solvents or scouring agents as they may mark the LCD and casings.

Do not submerge the unit in water. Furthermore, fix all parts in a place where the units are adequately protected against moisture and rain.

Special care shall be taken when handling a damaged LCD display. The liquid crystals can be harmful to the user’s health.

Do not make any repair attempts to the unit. Return them to their original point of purchase for repair by a qualified engineer.
Opening and tampering with the unit may invalidate their guarantee. -
Never touch the exposed electronic circuit of the device as there is a danger of electric shock should it become exposed.

Do not expose the units to extreme and sudden temperature changes, this may lead to reduce their accuracy.

Batteries are the single largest cause of customer support cases. Please use plain Alkaline batteries testing no less than 1.48 on a voltmeter or with an expiration date of 7 years in the future.
