How to charge the battery
The Sound Amplifier contains a non-replaceable, rechargeable battery.
Before using your Sound Amplifier for the first time, please charge the
battery as follows.
a. Tum the device off and locate the USB-C socket, (see Diagram). Connect the
USB cable supplied. Charge with 5V DC input from a computer USB port or USB
Mains Adapter. Please note that your computer must be turned on to charge via
USB.
b. The red light will illuminate to indicate charging and then turn off when
fully charged. Disconnect the cable when the battery is fully charged.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Sound Amplifier only supports standard 5V charging and
does not support any kind of QC fast charging. Charging with a voltage higher
than 5V could burn the Amplifier and cause permanent damage.
NOTE: We recommend that you do not use the Sound Amplifier whilst the battery
is being charged.
The charging process will cause sound interference.
NOTE: For the first 3 times of use we recommend that you charge your Sound
Amplifier for 3 hours. We also suggest that you use up the power completely
before you recharge. This process will help you to achieve the maximum
recharging capacity of the battery. Subsequent charges should be approximately
2 to 3 hours.
NOTE: Your Amplifier should be charged at least once every four weeks to
maintain good battery life.
Red Light Indicator
Red Light flashes – Battery is low and requires charging.
Red Light constant on – Power on and battery full.
Red Light off – Power is off
Power ON-OFF
Rotate the Volume Wheel Switch clockwise to turn power on and rotate the switch anti/counter clockwise to tum power off. You will hear a ‘click’ sound when the power turns on and a ‘click’ sound when the power turns off.
How to connect the Sound Amplifier to a COSVOX MP3 Sound Module
Use the Audio Cable included. Connect from the AUX-IN Socket on the Amplifier to the Speaker Socket (SPK) on the COSVOX MP3 Sound Module.
How to use the Sound Amplifier as a Speaker
Your Sound Amplifier can be used as an external loud speaker for a variety of
devices, including Smart Phones, Tablets, Computers or CD Players.
Use the Audio Cable included. Connect from the AUX-IN socket on the Amplifier
to the Earphone Socket on your chosen device.
How to adjust the Volume
Rotate the Volume Wheel Switch clockwise to increase the volume and rotate the
switch anti/counter clockwise to decrease volume.
TIP: You can also adjust the volume on the COSVOX MP3 Sound Module to achieve
the required volume level. If you are using the Amplifier as an external loud
speaker for your Smart Phone, you can also adjust the volume on the Phone to
achieve the required volume level.
TIP: The Sound Amplifier can be very loud at maximum volume. Therefore, it is
recommended that you begin at a low level and then gradually adjust the volume
upwards to the desired level.
How to use with a Microphone
Your Sound Amplifier can be used to amplify your voice using a Microphone.
Useful for Cosplay, Teaching, Speeches, Training, Tour Guides, Crowd
Management, Singing, Sales Promotions and a variety of outdoor activities.
Insert a Microphone into the MIC-IN socket. (Microphone sold separately). To
avoid loud ‘Feedback’, adjust the position of the Microphone so it is mounted
at a distance of at least 20cm from the Amplifier.
NOTE: Do not connect the output from an external audio device into the
MIC socket. The excessive voltage or could cause permanent damage.
Safety Information
This device is not recommended for children under 3 years. There are small
parts which could result in a choking hazard.
To avoid damaging your ears with excessive noise, please adjust the volume
level before you play a sound.
Do not allow this device to come into contact with water.
This device contains a non-replaceable, rechargeable battery.
Please do not attempt to open the case and remove the battery.
Warranty is void if the case is opened for any reason.
Do not use in inflammable or explosive areas.
Do not use in areas where radio equipment is prohibited.
If you are entering a dangerous or prohibited area, the power should be turned
off to avoid potential safety hazards.
Do not use in high temperature or high pressure environments.
Do not use in direct sunlight or high humidity environments.
Do not use close to dangerous sources, such as fire, liquids, explosives or
high-speed machinery.
