Product Usage Instructions

Installation:

  1. Carefully unpack and lay out all the parts on a clear surface.
  2. Assemble the chandelier as follows:
    • Hang part 2 onto the frame (1)
    • Continue hanging subsequent parts until all parts are assembled
  3. For hardwire installation, consult a qualified electrician for wire connections to the junction box.
  4. For portable wire installation:
    • Cut off the fixture copper ground wire
    • Avoid installing on radiant heating ceilings
    • Use hooks only to engage the chain, not the electrical wire
  5. For plaster or plasterboard ceilings:
    • Drill a hole in the ceiling matching the toggle bolt assembly
    • Insert flaps and bolt into the ceiling, securing with a hook
    • Drape the chain accordingly
  6. For wood or acoustic board ceilings:
    • Locate a wood beam on the ceiling
    • Screw the assembly into the wood beam
    • Drape the chain accordingly
  7. Hook the chandelier assembly to the chain by connecting the fixture loop and chain link with a lock link.
  8. Connect wires following safety guidelines and secure canopy against the ceiling.
  9. Install the bulb into the socket. (Bulb not included)
  10. Turn on power to complete the installation process.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  1. Q: What should I do if the plug does not fit in the outlet?
    A: If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to disable this safety feature.

  2. Q: Can I use an extension cord with this fixture?
    A: Never use with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted into the outlet.

WARNING: To avoid risk of electrical shock, be sure to shut off power while installing or servicing this fixture.

  1. Carefully unpack and lay out all the parts on a clear surface.
  2.  Assemble the Chandelier as below.
    • Hang the parts (2) onto the frame (1)
    • Hang the parts (3) onto the parts (2)
    • Hang the parts (4) onto the parts (3)
    • Hang the parts (5) onto the parts (4)
    • Hang the parts (6) onto the parts (5)
    • Hand the parts (7) onto the parts (6)

There are 2 ways to install this chandelier:

  • Portable Wire – STEP 3
  • Hardwire – STEP 4

PORTABLE WIRE INSTALLATION

  • NOTE: Cute off the fixture copper ground wire
  • CAUTION: DO NOT install on a radiant heating ceiling
  • CAUTION: The hooks are to engage the chain only and not the electrical wire.

FOR PLASTER OR PLASTER BOARD CEILINGS

  1. Drill a hole in the ceiling to the same diameter as the closed flaps of the included toggle bolt assembly (A).
  2.  Insert flaps and bolt into the ceiling with the toggle bolt protruding through the ceiling, lock the assembly by threading on the hook as shown.
  3. Drape your chain to the second hook or let it hang straight.

FOR WOOD OR ACOUSTIC BOARD CEILINGS – MINIMUM THICKNESS IS 1-1/2 INCH

  1. Select a place on the ceiling where a wood beam exists.
  2. Thread the steel screw (B) into hook (C).
  3. Screw the assembly into the wood beam.
  4.  Drape your chain to second hook or let it hang straight.

HOOK THE CHANDELIER ASSEMBLY TO THE CHAIN

  1. Open the lock link (K1) provided, connect to the fixture loop (J) and chain link and close the lock link (K1).

  2.  One chain and wire are arranged, plug the wire plug into household electrical outlet.
    IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:
    This portable fixture has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other.) As a safety feature, this plug will fit a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet reverse the plug. If it still does not fit contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. Do not attempt to disable this safety feature.

  3.  FIXED WIRE INSTALLATION
    NOTE: IT IS ADVISED TO CONTACT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN FOR THIS STEP.

  4.  Thread nipple (C) into loop (F) until snug.

  5. Thread other end of nipple (C) with loop attached into crossbar (D) until snug.

  6. Place lock washer (B) over end of nipple protruding through crossbar and thread the thread hex nut (A) onto nipple until tight

  7. Take this crossbar assembly and mount to ceiling junction box with junction box threads (E), tighten thread securely with screwdriver.

  8. Open the lock link (K1) provided, connect to the fixture loop (J) and chain link and close the lock link (K1).

  9. Lace the fixture wires through the chain. Slip loop collar (H) over the chain. Then do the same with the canopy (G).

  10. Open the end link (K) of the chain and hand the fixture on the loop (F) and close the link (K).

  11. Cut the wire plug off, feed the fixture wires through the loop (F) and nipple (C) and pull until taut.

  12. Connect fixture wire to the wire from the junction box with wire connectors as below.
    WIRE CONNECTION:

  13. Connect smooth wire to the black house wire with wire connectors.

  14. Ribbed wire to the white house wire with wire connectors.

  15. Fixture ground wire to the supply ground wire with wire connectors or the fixture ground wire from the fixture to the green ground screw on the mounting bracket.

  16. Push canopy (G) up against ceiling and secure with loop collar (H).

  17. Install the bulb into the socket. BULB(S) NOT INCLUDED

  18.  Installation is now complete. Turn on power.
