* Warning！

1. It is PROHIBITED to use this product with puppies, kittens, old and sick pets or aggressive pets, user must consult a professional veterinarian or pet trainer before using the pet shock mat to the pet.
2. Keep it out of reach from children and elderly, it is PROHIBITED to touch the mat when the mat is working, testing the shock with hand is not allowed.
3. The user must be present to observe whether there is any adverse reaction from the pet during the first use.
4. Do not use the shock mat to protect valuables.
5. Don’t use the mat on or near the stairs to avoid any risk of tripping or slipping when you walk on the mat.
6. Do not attempt to disassemble the shock mat.

* What is Seerway pet training mat?

Seerway scat pet shock mat is designed for training pet to stay away from prohibited area indoor, it is a touch sensitive mat which can say “NO” to pets when you can’t, it quickly keeps your pets off prohibited areas safely and effectively, such as counter, couch, sofa, table, desk, armchair, door, doorways, door threshold, hallway, bed, stairs, plant, carpet, entertainment center, car, fireplace mantle, stove, standing, Christmas tree, trash can and so on. With Seerway pet training mat, pet owners have a better time with pets!

 Must-do List before Training

1. Shave the soles of your pets before training, too much fur on pet’s paw might cause the mat not to trigger.
2. Before turning on the mat, make sure the metal wire/battery box side faces up and the shock mat is fully laid flat.
3. Wait 1 minute for calibration after the mat is on, any movement during calibration may cause the mat to work improperly.
4. We must turn off the mat for battery replacement or new off-limits, calibration is also needed to restart after the mat is on
5. You must not place anything (including water, pet pee – conductive object) on the mat, it must be kept dry and clean.
6. To save battery power, when you notice your pets stay away the prohibited area when they notice the mat without stepping on it, you can leave the mat at prohibited area at STATIC mode. It is recommended to use chargeable 9V battery.
7. Every time we remove the battery, press the red button/action button for 3 seconds for twice to release the residual charge.

* How to get the mat work

Step 1. Roll out the mat and lay it flat (NO folding, bending or rolling up) with “battery box side” up at the desired location. Step 2. Remove the controller’s battery cover, Install/buckle up a new 9V battery (Not Included, chargeable battery is recommended) and cover the battery box.
Step 3. Short press the action button/red button to switch on, wait 1 minute for calibration (IMPORTANT) !
Step 4. Short press the action button/red button to select work mode after calibration, 3 work modes are available: Tone, Tone+Static, Static. Start the training with “Tone+Static” as the beginning.
Step 5. Press and hold the action button for 5 seconds to switch off.

 Tips for Training

Pets learn at different work mode, so it may take several times for your pet to successfully understand and honor the training mat. Begin training with “TONE + STATIC” mode and allow your pet to wander freely around the mat. If your pet is having trouble avoiding the mat, follow these steps:

1. place a collar on your pet and attach along leash. For cats, we recommend using a harness.
2. Walk your pet onto the mat. As soon as your hear the tone, gently pull them away from the mat.
3. Reward your pet with praise and treat each time they leave the mat.

What are the 3 training modes and how to select the right mode?

Care Instruction

1. Turn off the mat when cleaning the mat.
2. Wipe it with a dry cloth or use a damp cloth to wipe down softly the training mat and then dry it with a dry cloth.
3. Submerging the mat in water is not allowed. Never use a brush to brush the mat.
4. Turn off the mat when the mat is not in use, remove the battery.
5. Roll it up for store, put it back in the box, store it in a cool and dry place, folding or bending the mat is not allowed.

Troubleshooting:

1. Battery drains fast.

– The battery might not have enough power, please use a new 9V alkaline battery, 9V chargeable battery is recommended.
– The battery is not installed properly, make sure you buckle up the battery to the connector, watch the manual video on product detail page if you need it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094Y5XY8H
– Make sure the 2 black rubber mats at the bottom of the control box/mat aren’t lost.
– Make sure you there is no any conductive object (liquid, water, pet pee etc.) on the mat.
– Some pets has high electrical resistance that causes the battery to burn up fast, 9V chargeable battery is recommended.

2. The mat can’t be turned on.

– Remove the battery, press the red button for 3 seconds for twice to release the residual charge.This is IMPORTANT.
– Don’t use the mat on conductive surface, such as metal surface, wet surface and so on.
– Check and make sure the 2 black rubber mats at the bottom of the control box/mat aren’t lost.
– Make sure that mat is fully laid flat, neither bending nor folding.
– Make sure you there is no any conductive object (liquid, water, pet pee etc.) on the mat.
– Install the battery properly, buckle up the connector the to the battery.
– Short press the red button to turn on the mat, wait 1 minute for the mat for calibration before training your pet.

3, The mat is working, but it does not deter my pet.

– Make sure the 9V battery has enough power, use a new 9V alkaline battery or chargeable battery please.
– Make sure the battery is installed properly, buckle up the battery to the connector.
– Wait 1 minute for calibration is always required after the mat is on, any movement during calibration may cause the mat to work improperly.
– Train with “Tone+Static” mode for beginning, try “Static” Mode for different pets with unique sensitivity.
– The pet is walking on the mat yet doesn’t touch any adjacent wires to trigger the mat.
– Follow the “tips for training” for your reference.

4: My can/dog can jump over the mat.

Congratulations for having smart dog/cat. See solutions below:
– Smart cats and dogs may figure out how to circumvent the mat, we can adjust the mat’s placement depending on your pet’s response to the mat and what it wants to do in the area.
– To train dogs/cats that know to jump over the mat, the best way is to train them with a X large mat “48×20” （ASIN#B09DT4QZPP) that they are not able to jump over, if the mat is still not wide enough to stop them jumping over, then get 2 mats or more, put them together to create wider mat zone that dogs/cats are not able to jump over or bypassing.

5, Is the shock safe for pets or family?

Some pets might be very sensitive to shock and has strong reaction, yet it is safe definitely, the pet shock mat is created by professional engineer as well as veterinarian, we love pets and we care how they feel. However, we still would like to remind that It is PROHIBITED to use this product with puppies, kittens, old and sick pets or aggressive pets. Please always consult a professional veterinarian or your pet trainer before using this pet shock mat to your pets. Besides, we would like to remind that user must keep it out of reach from Children and elderly, nobody is allowed to touch the mat when the mat is working, testing the shock by hand is not prohibited.
